Ava wandered cautiously through the forest as she tried to understand the strange energy flowing through her body.

Suddenly a wounded deer stumbled out of the trees and collapsed near her.
A deep gash covered its side.
Without thinking, Ava knelt beside the animal.
"Easy," she whispered softly.

The torn flesh slowly began closing.
Ava gasped.
She pulled her hand back in shock.
Moments later the deer stood again and disappeared into the forest.
Her heart raced.
Werewolves healed quickly.
But they couldn't heal others.
Yet she had just done exactly that.
