Chapter 90 - Chapter 90 – First Flight

"Rorschach, are you okay?"

Raven's voice broke the silence beside him. She was looking at Rorschach with obvious concern, while Hank stood nearby staring just as intently.

"I'm fine," Rorschach said with a bright smile. "Actually, when I checked just now, I realized something interesting."

He paused slightly.

"It seems like I awakened another ability."

Another one?

Raven and Hank were completely speechless.

Rorschach was already ridiculously powerful. Hearing that he had gained yet another ability almost felt unfair. At this rate, there was no telling where his growth would end.

And it hadn't even been that long since he awakened his heat vision.

Raven suddenly had a strange thought. Sometimes she felt like she and Hank were the fake mutants, while Rorschach was the real one.

Otherwise, how could the gap between them be this outrageous?

Then another realization struck her.

The last time Rorschach awakened heat vision had been after his battle with Shaw at the CIA facility.

And now this new ability had appeared after his battle with Shaw again.

Raven blinked.

Was Shaw secretly Rorschach's lucky charm?

"Really?" Hank asked eagerly. "That's amazing, Rorschach. What ability did you awaken this time?"

Rorschach couldn't help smiling slightly before answering.

"Flight."

"Flight?!"

"You can fly?!"

Raven and Hank both shouted at the same time, their eyes widening in disbelief.

Flying.

Even among mutants, that ability was extremely rare.

And unlike the winged mutant they had fought earlier, Rorschach didn't possess any physical wings.

"Rorschach," Raven said, staring at him with a mix of envy and amusement, "I'm starting to think you're God's favorite child. The rest of us must just be adopted."

Hank chuckled faintly but then stopped halfway through a sentence.

"I'm sure Charles and the others would be—"

He suddenly fell silent.

The situation had changed.

Things were different now.

Rorschach finished the thought for him.

"They'd be happy for me," he said calmly.

"Yes… they would."

Raven nodded slowly, though a trace of sadness crossed her expression.

Despite everything that had happened, she still cared about Charles. The same was true for Eric.

But reality had already made one thing clear.

They could never go back to the way things were before.

"Raven, Hank," Rorschach said, extending his arms toward them. "I just awakened this ability, so I might not be very stable yet. Hold on to me."

The two understood immediately.

Raven moved to his left while Hank stepped to his right. Each of them grabbed onto him firmly.

Then—

Whoosh!

The ground dropped away beneath their feet.

In an instant, their bodies felt weightless as Rorschach lifted them into the sky.

They rose rapidly, the beach shrinking below them as the wind rushed past.

Both the American and Russian fleets had just been destroyed here. It wouldn't take long before both governments sent reinforcements to investigate.

Leaving quickly was the smartest option.

Fortunately, Rorschach's flight ability had awakened at the perfect time.

"Whoa! We're really flying!"

"This is incredible!"

Raven and Hank shouted excitedly.

The powerful airflow rushed around them as the ground grew smaller and smaller beneath their feet. The sensation of soaring high above the world was thrilling.

Since Rorschach didn't yet have a biological force field to protect his passengers, he deliberately kept his speed relatively low.

Fortunately, both Raven and Hank were mutants. Their bodies were stronger than those of ordinary humans, so they didn't feel too uncomfortable.

Instead, they had plenty of time to enjoy the breathtaking sensation of flying through the sky.

But the excitement gradually faded.

Because this was only the beginning.

Rorschach carried them through the air for nearly four hours before finally landing in a remote suburban area somewhere in the United States.

Without a biological force field, flying at high speed while carrying passengers wasn't an option.

Maintaining the same position for hours had been exhausting.

By the time they touched the ground, Raven and Hank were both sore all over. Even their arms felt numb.

If Rorschach hadn't been strong enough to support them the entire time, they might have fallen from the sky long ago.

Raven immediately leaned against a nearby wall, breathing heavily.

"I'm dying," she groaned. "My whole body feels numb. I can barely stand."

Being carried through the sky like that was physically demanding.

An ordinary person probably wouldn't have lasted even half the trip.

"I swear," Hank said weakly, rubbing his shoulders, "I will never do that again."

His face looked pale, as if he had just survived a terrible hangover.

"Never again?" Rorschach said with a laugh. "Next time I might charge admission."

Compared to them, he looked almost completely fine.

The 35% Homelander template had given him terrifying stamina. Acting as the flying vehicle for hours had only made him slightly tired.

The difference between him and his two passengers couldn't have been clearer.

After resting in place for more than ten minutes, Raven and Hank finally recovered enough to stand properly.

They exchanged glances.

Both of them looked uncertain.

When they chose to follow Rorschach in Cuba, they hadn't really thought about the future.

But now the reality was unavoidable.

Where would they go next?

For the first time, both of them felt completely directionless.

They had left Xavier Manor behind.

The place they once called home was no longer theirs.

A quiet sense of emptiness settled over them.

"So…" Raven said slowly, looking first at Hank and then at Rorschach. "Where do we go now?"

She had grown up at Xavier's mansion. Having chosen to leave, she knew she could never return.

"I… I'm not sure either," Hank admitted with a helpless shrug.

Both of them turned toward Rorschach.

Rorschach grinned.

"I actually know a place."

It seemed the time had finally come to take over the immortal clan Dracula had entrusted to him.

Raven and Hank immediately showed a spark of curiosity.

"But before that," Rorschach added, "let's find something to eat."

The moment he said it, both Raven and Hank suddenly felt their stomachs growling loudly.

They laughed awkwardly.

After all the chaos in Cuba and the exhausting flight afterward, none of them had eaten anything.

Without another word, the three began walking down the quiet road ahead.

But after a few steps, Hank hesitated.

"Raven… could you change your appearance for now?"

He glanced at her blue skin carefully.

"Hank, Eric was right," Raven replied. "I shouldn't have to hide who I am."

Hank sighed.

"Normally I'd agree. But after what happened in Cuba, the whole world is going to panic. Mutants are about to enter a very difficult period."

He looked at her seriously.

"Right now, keeping a low profile is probably the safest choice."

Raven fell silent.

Because she knew he was right.

The cold age for mutants was coming.
