Chapter 36 - 36

36: Chapter 36 Drunkenness Under the MoonThe hustle and bustle of the "Sailor's House" tavern on the dock was like a warm bubble, temporarily isolating Tsunade and Naruto from the outside world.

Several jugs of strong liquor from the Land of Water were empty, and empty earthenware jars were spilled all over the table.

Tsunade was completely drunk, and the gloom that usually lingered between her brows was completely evaporated by the alcohol.

Her cheeks were flushed, one hand propped up her chin, the other hand scribbled unconsciously on the table, her eyes glazed over as she looked at Naruto, giggling and babbling incoherently, from complaining about Jiraiya's embarrassing moments to grumbling about Shizune being too nosy.

Naruto drank less than her, but he was still slightly tipsy.

He no longer calmly analyzed the situation or planned for the future; he simply leaned back in his chair, listened, occasionally chuckled in agreement, or naturally refilled her glass when it was empty.

Under the warm yellow light, he looked at Tsunade, at the fine lines at the corners of her eyes when she laughed and joked, at her pupils that were unusually moist because of the alcohol, and a strange sense of peace spread through his heart.

"Hiccup.kid."

Tsunade suddenly leaned closer, her hot breath, heavy with the smell of alcohol, blowing onto Naruto's face, her eyes fixed on him."Tell me.am I.getting old?"

Naruto chuckled, looking at her still radiant face: "How could that be?You could take on ten of me right now."

"Nonsense!"

Tsunade playfully slapped his arm, but the force was light, carrying a natural affection, "You're just trying to make me happy. But it sounds nice."

Her voice lowered, her head swayed, and she seemed a little unsteady on her feet, her body involuntarily leaning towards Naruto.

Naruto instinctively reached out and put his hand on her shoulder.

When their palms touched her bare, cool, smooth skin, they both paused.

The noisy background sounds of the tavern faded away, leaving only their slightly disordered breathing and heartbeats.

Tsunade didn't push him away.Instead, she remained in that position, raised her misty eyes, and gazed deeply at Naruto.

The room was devoid of its usual scheming; it reflected the light and her somewhat disheveled yet genuine appearance.

A peculiar emotion, mixed with the effects of alcohol, fermented and swelled in her chest.

Have we been without support for too long?Is this brief peace too tempting?

Or was it this person in front of her who had unknowingly left a unique mark on her heart in his own way?

She didn't know.

Alcohol numbs reason and amplifies the senses and instincts.

Naruto also looked at her, watching the emotions surging in her eyes, watching her gradually approaching, her face flushed red from intoxication.

His Adam's apple bobbed slightly, but he didn't back down.An instinctive impulse overwhelmed all considerations.

The distance shortened silently.

In the end, it was Tsunade who closed her eyes first, and with an almost resigned determination, she took the initiative to kiss him.

The moment their lips touched, both of them trembled slightly.

At first, it was just a soft touch with the aroma of wine, a hesitant and tentative exploration.

But soon, something that had been suppressed for a long time broke through all boundaries.

Naruto tightened his grip on her shoulder, pulling her closer to him.

With his other hand, he ran his fingers through her loose golden hair, cradling the back of her neck, taking the initiative.

With a greedy plundering intent, he pried open her teeth, entangled her, and savored the unique mature charm that belonged to her.

Tsunade let out a muffled whimper, and after the initial surprise, she responded with even greater passion. It was as if she wanted to pour all the loneliness and repression of the past years into this kiss. Her arms encircled Naruto's neck, and her fingers slid through his golden hair.

It was a chaotic, unskilled kiss.Yet it was so real and passionate, overwhelming all of their senses.

Reason is as thin as a cicada's wing in the face of desire.

They separated, panting, only when the air ran out.

Foreheads touching, breaths mingling, both saw disbelief and lingering passion in each other's eyes.

Tsunade's face turned bright red, almost dripping blood. She looked away in a panic, then suddenly stood up, but staggered due to the alcohol and the intensity of the previous fight.

"I.I drank too much." she stammered, practically fleeing, stumbling out of the tavern.

Naruto did not immediately give chase.

He sat there, his fingertips lightly touching his still slightly numb lips. His heart pounded in his chest, a strong sense of satisfaction and possessiveness filling him.

He slowly got up, paid the bill, and walked out of the tavern.

The cool sea breeze sobered him up a bit, but the sensation of her lips and Tsunade's panicked yet alluring figure as she fled remained clearly imprinted in his mind.

He walked slowly in the direction Tsunade had left.

Not far away, I saw her by a secluded rocky bay.

Tsunade sat there hugging her knees, burying her burning face in her arms, her long golden hair slightly disheveled by the sea breeze.

Hearing footsteps, she stiffened but did not look up.

Naruto walked over and sat down beside her.He didn't say anything, but just quietly looked at the shimmering sea under the moonlight.

After a long while, Tsunade's muffled voice finally came: ".Just now.I lost my composure."

"I think it's great."

Naruto's voice was calm.

Tsunade abruptly raised her head, her face still flushed, and looked at him with a complicated expression."Kid, do you know what this means?I'm so much older than you."

"So what?" Naruto turned his head, looking directly at her with burning eyes."Age has never been a problem. The problem is, do you want to?"

His directness left Tsunade speechless.

Does she want to?That feeling of her heart racing and her mind going blank just now.

Naruto reached out and gently took her hand, which was resting on her knee, without forcing her.

"Tsunade," he said seriously for the first time, without calling her "grandma," "we are well-suited to be together.Whether it's fighting, drinking, or… anything else."

Tsunade looked at their clasped hands, then looked up at.He looked at Naruto's eyes, which shone exceptionally brightly in the moonlight.

He hesitated for a moment, but ultimately did not pull his hand away.He simply sighed softly and turned his gaze back to the endless sea.

The sea breeze remained unchanged, and the gentle moonlight bathed the two sitting side by side, as if draping a hazy veil over their budding relationship.

[Ding!A decisive breakthrough has been achieved in your relationship with Tsunade, villain value +1000!]
