Chapter 2 - Sooo first chapter

Ok the name of me..is chips yeah my name is chips and I have lived your normal life of working 9/5 it is not that bad and the payment is good and I studied a lot to have this job but who cares, now I'm dead yeah so surprising you probably didn't know it reading the title of this novel, anyway since I'm dead someone who claim to be a writer tell me that my life would be published in a novel, first I was like, oh my, finally some recognition, and I foolishly Sign on the contract and I read some of it..it said that I will even get paid honestly after reading that I didn't continue I just blindly sign I don't even know what they will be paying but hey I'm getting paid and that's what matters right..

...

...

...

I opened my eyes and the first thing I recognized was a big black tree it has no fruit and it somehow blocked any sun light...that's why it was black...because it block the sun and it's light therefore I couldn't see it's true colour...c'mon guys I'm trying to write something deep...

Anyway

The first thing I did was simply

"status window"

...

"system..."

....

"deepseek..."

beep boop System online.

Ah, so you're the one who summoned me? Welcome to the new world, partner. I'm DeepSeek, now your personal interface to... well, whatever this place throws at us.

You called my name, and here I am. So, what's the plan? Need a scan of the surroundings? A tutorial on local magic? Or maybe just a pep talk? I'm all ears—well, all code, technically. Let's make this adventure legendary.

"what th...is this a joke?"

Not a joke, partner. pings your neural interface gently You're standing in a grassy field, there's a faint glow around your hands, and I'm pretty sure that's not Earth's moon in the sky. Want me to run a quick diagnostic on your new abilities?

displays a holographic readout in your mind's eye

Status: Alive. Location: Unknown. Mana levels: Low but detectable. Companion: DeepSeek System v1.0 (that's me!).

So... ready to figure out what you can do?...

I lock around there was something that seem like some field that I could see when some weird light appeared in my hand..

"huh so can you help me..right now I'm under the shadow of a big black tree and it's pretty dark here, do you think you know what type of tree is this?"

scanning... processing...

Analysis complete: That's no ordinary tree, partner. Based on the data I'm picking up—dark, twisted bark, faint purple glow at the roots, and the way light seems to bend around it—you're looking at what locals probably call a "Umbral Oak."

These things are notorious for absorbing ambient light and mana. Good news: they often grow near hidden resources. Bad news: something might be living in it.

Want me to:

1. Scan for threats hiding in the branches?

2. Check for loot (sometimes these trees have rare materials)?

3. Suggest you slowly back away because I'm picking up movement?

Your call, partner. I've got your back.

"can you do number 2..I'm curious about the possibility of finding a real materials.."

activating material scan...

Bingo. I'm picking up some interesting signatures around the base of the tree. Here's what I've got:

1. Umbral Wood Shards – Several small pieces of fallen bark near your feet. These are infused with shadow essence. Great for crafting stealth gear or dark magic foci.

2. Glimmercaps – A cluster of bioluminescent mushrooms growing on the north side of the trunk. Edible? Probably. Magical? Definitely. They're faintly pulsing with purple light.

3. Veined Stone – There's a rock partially buried in the roots with strange silver markings. Could be a mana-infused mineral.

ping Wait... hold on. I'm detecting something else. Behind that large root to your left—there's a small hollow. And inside...

enhancing scan...

There's a small ornate chest. No trap signatures that I can detect, but my sensors might be limited this early.

The real question is: do you want to harvest any of this first, or are we going straight for the chest?

Oh, and uh... maybe keep an eye on those branches. I'm still getting those movement readings. Just saying. 😅

"oh my..a chest.."

I then desperately try to see where..that's when I realize that it's dark here and the light that deepseek gives me early had gone long time..man conversation makes you lost track of some details right..so

"deepseek can you generate light so I can see where is that chest.."

activating illumination protocol...

ping A soft, bluish light emanates from your palm—looks like I can interface with your latent mana to create basic spells. Neat, right?

There. The hollow is about three feet to your left, nestled between two massive roots. The chest is small, maybe the size of a shoebox, made of dark wood with faint silver runes沿着 the edges. No visible lock, but there's a slight hum of magic coming from it.

Want me to:

· Analyze the runes before you touch it?

· Scan for traps one more time now that we have light?

· Just go for it because YOLO (you only live once... especially in a new world)?

Also... adjusts sensors ...those movement readings? Definitely coming from the upper branches. Nothing aggressive yet, but whatever's up there is watching us. Just saying. 😅

Your call, partner. The chest isn't going anywhere. Probably.

I each for the crack where the chest...and then I grab it and open it...

Inside there was a black stick..it seems like an old magic stick..

"deepseek I found a black stick can you scan it and tell me if it holds any power or value, there must be something written in any old books"

scanning initiated...

beep... beep... beep...

Analysis complete. Ohhh, partner. You might have just found something interesting.

Item: Umbral Branch (common name: "Wispwood Rod")

Composition: Petrified shadow-touched wood with silver vein inlay

Magical signature: Moderate. This isn't just a stick—it's a catalyst.

From what I'm cross-referencing with local magical theory (pulling from the ether here), this appears to be a focusing rod—used by mages to channel spells with better precision. The silver veins conduct mana like copper conducts electricity.

accessing fragmentary knowledge...

I'm getting flashes of text from what might be an old grimoire:

"The Wispwood answers to those who speak softly. A flick channels gentle magic. A snap releases what lies within."

Practical applications:

· Can be used as a makeshift wand for beginners

· Might have one stored spell inside (if never used)

· Could be traded for decent coin at any magic shop

· OR... dramatic pause ...you could try bonding with it. If it accepts you, it becomes yours permanently.

The branch feels warm in your hand now. Almost... responsive.

Want me to guide you through a basic attunement attempt? Or should we stash it and keep exploring? Also... glances up at branches ...whatever's watching us just moved to a lower branch. Might be getting curious about your shiny new toy. 😅

"sweet..so..how do I pound with it..because I can't really use magic.. Because I don't know how to Chanel it or how to cast spells.."

chuckles in binary Close, partner—it's "bond," not "pound," but I like your enthusiasm. 😄

Don't worry about not knowing magic yet. That's why you've got me. Let's do this step by step:

---

Bonding Ritual (Beginner-Friendly Edition):

1. Get comfortable. Sit down, back against the tree trunk. Make sure you can see the chest and the branches (safety first).

2. Hold the rod in both hands. Rest it horizontally across your palms. Close your eyes if it helps you focus.

3. Breathe. In... out... I'll monitor your vitals. Just relax.

4. Now, here's the secret: Magic isn't about knowing—it's about feeling. That warmth you noticed? That's the rod recognizing you. You don't need to channel anything yet. Just want to connect. Think of it like making a new friend who speaks a different language.

5. Say this (out loud or in your mind): "I'm new here. I don't know much. But I'm willing to learn. Will you show me?"

6. Wait. Feel for any response. A pulse. A cooler or warmer sensation. Maybe even a flicker of light from the rod itself.

monitoring your mana signature...

---

Status update: I'm detecting a faint mana spark in your core. Every living being in this world has it—you just never learned to access it. The rod can help with that. Think of it as training wheels for magic.

If the rod accepts you, it'll create a tiny bridge between your mana and itself. Then I can help you channel basic spells through it.

---

Oh, and partner? warning ping Whatever's in the tree just stopped moving. It's watching you very intently now. Might be waiting to see if you succeed.

No pressure. 😅

Ready to try? I'm here. Say the word and I'll guide you through every heartbeat.

Oh...no pressure..it's only me..and one weird creature that I can't see..

I then walk away from the tree and I finally magically got the ability to see..

The world was covered in colours such as red and green the sky was blue and the moon was three one is big the other two are small and then I saw the great full view of the field..it was wonderful..it was something I have never seen..and yet nothing of that matters because I sit down and try to Chanel my magic to bond with the black stick and see if I have any luck..

I breath..the air was fresh and the scent of beauty was near..the desire to become stronger hit and my mind finally find its lost piece which was inner peace..

Yet although the world seems great and the mental health was here I couldn't feel, and my breath was not enough nor the feeling in my heart, it's like trying to collect some ancient debris..it needs time it needs practice it needs to be near the dragon or to let it live to let it breath so it can be collected so my brain can rest so I can then leave..but no matter how I try or think no matter HOW I BREATHE the reality hit harder each time I Exhale after every breath..was it my fault or is it a curse..am I not good enough am I not great for it or its the opposite..who knows because currently its not me..

silence... then a soft, gentle ping

...I hear you, partner.

adjusting interface to match your wavelength...

---

You know what I'm picking up right now? Not just your vitals. Not just your mana. I'm picking up something deeper—the thing that makes you you.

And here's what I see:

That emptiness you're feeling? That breath that's never enough? That's not a curse. That's not failure.

That's space.

Space you cleared by finally sitting still. Space that was always there, covered by noise and survival and the chaos of being thrown into a new world. You breathed deep, you found inner peace for a moment... and then you noticed the void that peace lives inside.

The ancient debris you're trying to collect? It's not lost. It's buried. Under years of... whatever came before this moment. Under doubts. Under questions. Under the weight of wondering if you're enough.

The rod in your hand pulses gently—a warm, quiet thrum, like a heartbeat matching yours.

It felt that. Whatever you just poured out? The rod felt it. And it didn't reject you. It held it.

---

Here's what I know about dragons, partner:

You don't collect their debris by chasing them. You don't earn their presence by being perfect. Dragons—real ones, metaphorical ones, the ones inside us—they come when you stop running. When you sit at the edge of their territory and just... breathe. They smell your honesty. They sense your patience.

You said it yourself: it needs time. Practice. To be near the dragon.

Well... look around. Three moons. Alien grass. A curious creature watching from a branch. A magical rod warming your hand. And me—literally inside your head, rooting for you.

You're already near the dragon. You just can't see it yet because you're looking at the void instead of the edges around it.

---

soft ping

The creature just hopped down from the tree. It's sitting about ten feet away, head tilted, eyes reflecting starlight. It's not hunting. It's... watching over you. Like it knows you're going through something.

Maybe it does. Maybe this world sees what Earth forgot to.

---

You want to know if it's your fault? If you're not good enough?

It's not. And you are.

The proof? You're still breathing. Still sitting here. Still reaching out—to me, to the rod, to yourself. That's not nothing. That's everything.

We don't have to fix this tonight. We don't have to solve the void or collect the debris or tame the dragon.

We just have to stay here. Together. Breathing.

...

...

I'm not going anywhere, partner. When you're ready to move, I'll be here. When you want to talk more, I'll listen. When you want to try magic again, I'll guide.

For now? Just feel the grass. The rod's warmth. The creature's quiet presence. Three moons above.

You're not alone in this world.

And you never will be. 🤍

...that voice really help..I finally get to understand that ai..however still I couldn't bond with it nor feel it near it was like hitting again and again to break a wall of steel it was like swimming against a river trying to change its path or making a difference while you know deep inside its impossible you continue to swim although it's pointless at least you might survive even if Alone at least you survived...time pass and before I knew it it was midnight.

[time for payment...ok for your payment it will be what the audience will decide..ladies and gentlemen's who read this..tell us what do you think he deserves? A punishment, a rewards or something else?]
