Kai didn't return to the main street.
Instead, he came out from the other side after putting the troublesome Guard Angel to sleep.
Like the effect of the Deep Slumber when used on himself, he could set how long those he put to sleep would stay asleep. It was rather convenient, but the accuracy would be precise during nighttime.
Since it was midday, the Guard Angels could wake up sooner than expected.
He had already tested this before.
During daytime, the Deep Slumber's power waned faster, and it waned fastest when the target was directly under the sun after falling asleep—about thirty minutes. Since the Guard Angels he had put to sleep lay in shade, he should have a good few hours.
It should be more than enough to find Katrina and escape without being noticed.
Kai fixed his mask.
