Power System

Finally!!

Note: There is no stuff like levels. The concept of levels was only given to Magnus for better understanding.

There are three main sources of power

-Mana

-Aura

-Life force (True Mana/True Aura/Qi)

The sources differ in their abilities to power the body.

-Mana— The Mana is the most abundant source out of the three, however, it is the most complex. The usage of mana requires immense knowledge and strong mental willpower. It is mostly acquired through the process of making a contract with a spirit which gives its power to the master of the said spirit.

There are two types of mana—Element and Non-Elemental

Elemental mana—As the name suggests, it carries the power of the elements.

Said elements are—Fire, Water, Wind, Earth (or mud/dirt), Ice and lastly, Electricity

There rarity is in the sequence given above. (However, their rarity has nothing to do with how strong they are. It all depends on the user's talents.)

Note: light and darkness do not come into the category of elements.

The Non-Elemental—These are any mana that are not elemental(obviously). As mentioned, they do not require the need to make a contract with a spirit. Also, Due to the infinite ways and techniques to use mana, there is absolutely no given limit to how to use it.

However, overuse of the mana can lead to the usage of "True Mana", leading to outrage of the life force present in the body to be consumed. It can affect the user's mental as well as physical health. Most of the time leading to death.

Attribute — This determines the potential of the person using magic. This tells us what element a person can use. There is no way to accurately state a person's attribute however, it can be seen by using an alloy of lithium and Bixion(a magical metal). The metal becomes saturated and changes colours to the corresponding:

Red: Fire

Brown: Earth

Blue: Water

Grey: Wind

Dark Blue: Ice

Purple: Electricity

White: Non-Elemental

Yellow/Dark: Light/Darkness

Note: When the stone is turned to white, it does not mean that the individual does not have power. They just don't have elemental potential. This is a certain advantage as these people do not need to make contract with a spirit. The symbolism that the person does not have magic power is when the stone does not shine or change its colour at all.

The mages have a classes system to determine the power level of certain individuals. These are decided on the class of magic they are able to use.

Magic class are, therefore, also categorized. This depends upon factors such as:

-Number of circles needed to be utilized.

-Mana usage

-scale of magic used

Hence, using these examinations, there are 12 classes. Each classes are first chosen by the number of circles. From 1 to 12.

Then, the Mages are divided in groups of 4:

Apprentice- 1-2. These are new or weak mages who can use magic up to 2nd class of magic.

Mages- 1-5. These are intermediate mages who can utilize magic up to 4th class of magic. This is the most common level, as many can reach here, but going further is incredibly hard.

Grandmages- 1-8. These are masters of magic, who can use the power up to the 8th class.

Archmage: An archmage can use the power up to 12th class of magic. The thing is, there has only been one Archmage in history. Not a single person has reached the 10th level, let alone the latter.

After Mana, comes Aura.

Aura is a much rarer source, which is only gifted in birth. This power is similar yet different from Mana.

Unlike Mana, which is stored in the heart and drawn through, Aura is present throughout the entire body. As much convenient this is for the user, Aura has extremely high chances of going berserk, or more known, outrage. Resulting in depilation of Life Force or True Aura.

True Mana, True Aura. What is this? You may ask.

Well, these terms are use because when life force is utilized in place of Aura or Mana, these sources are extremely pure and have an enormous increase in their capabilities.

Now, comes the third source of life force—Qi.

Qi is similar to Aura, present all throughout the body, however, it's flow is similar to that of blood flowing in the vessels. Qi is present in all organisms, but to actually draw it out is a completely different subject.

Just like parts of blood, like RBC, WBC, Qi is also present just like that. Flowing and mixing with the plasma.

As known, Qi can be used both like Mana and Aura. It can strengthen the body and can also be made to exist outside of the body. It can have elements such as fire, water, lightning etc.

These techniques that must be learned and cultivated, often taking years to decades just to master single techniques, which may not even be elemental.

Powers evolve from time to time. All these powers are interconnected with each other, making up for the flow of the world. People will continue to use them become stronger and stronger. Or sum shi.
