Aryan was at his limit. The seven wolves were closing in, their hungry growls echoing through the dark forest. His breath was ragged, and his vision was swimming. But he didn't give up. He looked at the system notification one last time.

"Do it! Just do it!" Aryan screamed in his mind.
Suddenly, the small Shadow Essence crystal in his pocket shattered into thousands of tiny black particles. Instead of disappearing, the particles flew into his body. At the same time, he felt a massive drain on his energy. It felt like his soul was being pulled out. His legs shook, and he almost fell.
But then, a cold, powerful energy exploded from his heart.

The Alpha wolf, sensing the change, lunged forward. Its mouth was wide open, ready to crush Aryan's neck. But Aryan didn't move. He waited until the last millisecond.

In the blink of an eye, Aryan's body turned into a black mist. He vanished from the spot. The Alpha wolf hit the tree behind where Aryan was standing.
Before the pack could react, Aryan appeared right behind the Alpha wolf. His Refined Steel Blade was glowing with a dark, purplish light.
"My turn," Aryan whispered.
He swung his sword with all his remaining strength. Because of the [Shadow Dash] bonus, the blade moved with incredible force. It sliced through the Alpha wolf's thick neck as if it were paper.

Damage Dealt: 150 HP (Fatal)
The Alpha Shadow Wolf has been slain!
The other wolves stopped. They looked at their fallen leader and then at Aryan. For the first time, the monsters felt fear. Without their Alpha, the pack began to retreat into the darkness.
Aryan fell to his knees, using his sword to keep himself upright. His Stamina bar was blinking red—it was almost at zero. But the system notifications were not stopping.

But he was too tired to think. He needed to find a safe place to rest before more monsters arrived. He slowly stood up, his eyes sharp and determined. This was just the beginning of his journey to become the God of Enhancement.
