Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: First Day of Teaching

The next morning, Mitsusuke arrived at school right on time.

The morning was Iruka's theory class, and the afternoon was his Ninjutsu class.

He picked up a textbook from the desk and took a look, and Mitsusuke was immediately stunned.

He had been at the school for several years, but he rarely read books. This time, after seriously reading for a while, he quickly couldn't continue.

It was clearly a Ninjutsu textbook, yet at the bottom of every page, it promoted the Will of Fire.

There were also some praises for Hiruzen Sarutobi, like "Ninjutsu Doctor," "Strongest Hokage," and "Perfect Inheritor of the Will of Fire." Mitsusuke felt a bit embarrassed reading it; it was simply shameless.

For his mental and physical health, Mitsusuke directly threw the book aside. He was afraid that if he read too many lies, he wouldn't be able to speak properly himself.

There was nothing to do in the morning, so Mitsusuke simply chose to sleep. He didn't know how much time passed until he felt someone pushing him.

Opening his eyes, Mitsusuke saw Iruka looking at him with a puffed-up face.

Mitsusuke stretched lazily and said nonchalantly, "Iruka! Why aren't you going to class? You're not a qualified teacher! The children are still waiting for knowledge to be imparted!"

Perhaps accustomed to Mitsusuke's style, Iruka didn't get angry. He pointed at the clock and said, "It's one in the afternoon. It's time for your class."

"Ah! Is it one o'clock? No wonder I feel so hungry!"

Mitsusuke's peripheral vision caught sight of the lunchbox in Iruka's hand. He snatched it, then ran out of the office, thanking Iruka as he went.

Iruka looked at his empty right hand and turned his head to look at Mizuki next to him: "Did Mitsusuke just snatch my lunchbox?"

The other teachers in the office burst into laughter, amused by Iruka's behavior.

To be honest, the rice balls Iruka brought weren't very good; besides being salty, they had no other flavor.

Mitsusuke walked into the classroom, eating the rice ball, and saw familiar faces from his previous life.

Slowly finishing the rice ball, Mitsusuke wiped his hands on his clothes.

Inside the classroom, many people were whispering: "Is this our Ninjutsu teacher? He seems very unreliable."

"Yeah! I heard this teacher is called Sarutobi Mitsusuke, known as the "disgrace of the sarutobi clan." Can such a person really be a teacher?"

Ignoring the students' whispers, Mitsusuke lit a cigarette for himself, casually sat on the desk, and looked at the students who had just been talking.

Feeling the teacher's gaze, the students all shut their mouths.

After exhaling a puff of smoke, Mitsusuke said with a somewhat lazy tone, "My name is Mitsusuke, Sarutobi Mitsusuke. Starting today, I will be your Ninjutsu teacher. I won't teach you any theoretical knowledge because I don't know any. I will only teach you some basic Ninjutsu, plus some experience that will allow you to survive in the Ninja World."

"Of course, I don't guarantee anything. How much you learn depends on your own talent. Now, those who know Substitution Jutsu, stand up and let me see how many people have mastered this Ninjutsu."

The students looked at each other, but no one stood up, not even Sasuke, who loved to show off the most.

Seeing that no one stood up, Mitsusuke was a little surprised. He didn't expect so many children from prominent families to not know Substitution Jutsu.

For a moment, Mitsusuke felt a lot of pressure! If he couldn't complete the task and it interfered with his slacking off, it would really be a loss.

After exhaling another puff of smoke, Mitsusuke said to everyone, "Since you don't know Substitution Jutsu, surely there are people who can skillfully refine Chakra! Those who can refine Chakra, stand up and let me see how many."

This time, someone finally stood up. The first to stand up was Sasuke, then Shikamaru, followed by Choji, Hinata, Ino, Shino...

Most of the students who stood up were children from clans; many civilian children, including Naruto, still couldn't refine Chakra.

After getting a general idea, Mitsusuke raised his hand to signal those who stood up to sit down. He then went to the blackboard and drew the Chakra refining method and route on it.

Even though Mitsusuke had been slacking off these past few years, his Ninjutsu foundation was still very solid.

After writing down the Chakra refining method, he also drew the hand sign sequence and Chakra operation route for the Substitution Jutsu.

Putting down the chalk, Mitsusuke turned around: "This is the Chakra extraction method, and all the information for the Substitution Jutsu. I'm giving you one month to skillfully refine Chakra and learn the Substitution Jutsu. If anyone fails, consider giving up the Ninja profession! You might be more suited to be ordinary people, honestly…"

Before Mitsusuke could finish, Naruto stood up: "Teacher Mitsusuke, that's unfair! How can anyone learn Substitution Jutsu in a month? You couldn't do it either, could you!"

Naruto was clearly unconvinced. After speaking, he just looked at Mitsusuke. Although Big Brother Mitsusuke was very kind to him and even treated him to ramen, he didn't believe anyone could learn Substitution Jutsu in a month.

Interrupted by Naruto, Mitsusuke didn't get angry. He just smiled slightly, then held up two fingers: "Two days. It took me two days from extracting Chakra to learning Substitution Jutsu. If anyone doesn't believe it, you can go ask around in the Sarutobi Clan."

Mitsusuke wasn't lying; he was once a genius of the Sarutobi Clan, learning Substitution Jutsu in just two days.

Shikamaru, who was beside him, reached out and pulled Naruto back down, quietly reminding him: "Naruto, sit down quickly. Teacher Mitsusuke was once a genius of the Sarutobi Clan, and it's true that he learned Substitution Jutsu in two days. You should practice hard!"

"What? The teacher was actually telling the truth," Naruto looked at Shikamaru blankly, "Then why didn't you tell me just now?"

Shikamaru rolled his eyes at Naruto: "Tell you? You have to give me a chance! You stood up before Teacher Mitsusuke even finished speaking. Did you give me time?"

Mitsusuke pulled out a chair and sat down: "Alright! Start extracting Chakra! Students who can extract Chakra, practice Substitution Jutsu. The first student to learn Substitution Jutsu, I will personally spend ten minutes teaching you Taijutsu. Don't underestimate my Taijutsu; in all of Konoha, besides Guy, no one is my opponent."

Children from clans were not interested in Mitsusuke's reward, but civilian children were different; they all yearned for special guidance from a teacher, so they practiced with particular seriousness.

Watching the students extract Chakra, Mitsusuke continued to slack off. He had already spent fifteen minutes lecturing them today, and he wondered if today's slacking-off reward would decrease.

Before, slacking off for eight hours a day would earn him 0.01 slacking value. Slacking value could be added to the template's proficiency.

Today's slacking time definitely won't reach eight hours. I hope the reward doesn't decrease.
