I still can't believe my mom turned me into a boy on my twelvethbirthday… just to save some stupid business.
But wait… let me start from the beginning.
It was my twelveth birthday, a beautiful day that celebrated me like any other twelve-year-old. The morning felt magical. Birds were literally singing outside my window. I woke up excited, wore my gorgeous gown, let my hair fall down my shoulders, and even wore my first pair of heels.
When I walked downstairs, I felt like a real-life princess.
It was a wonderful day.
FAST FORWARD TO THE NEXT MORNING
I woke up suddenly and realized something was wrong.
I was naked.
And my mom was standing there… staring at me.
"AHHHHH!" I screamed. "Mu-mu-mum! What are you doing?!"
My mom looked confused.
"What the hell are you doing?" she said.
"What do you mean?!" I shouted, grabbing the blanket.
"Sweetie, I found you like this," she said calmly. "Now hurry up and get dressed."
I was still confused, but I got dressed and went downstairs.
"Mom… are you taking me to school?" I asked.
"Yes, honey," she replied.
During the drive she suddenly said something strange.
"Honey, today will be your last day of school."
I looked at her in shock.
"No… today is only the second week!"
"Okay, sweetie," she said quietly. "But we need to talk about something important when you get home."
The whole day at school I kept thinking about what she said.
When I finally got home that night, I went to my room and started getting ready for bed.
A few minutes later, my mom walked in.
"So honey… are you ready?
"Ready for what?" I asked.
She looked straight at me.
"We're going to change you into a boy."
I burst out laughing.
"Mom, that's not funny."
Her face didn't change.
"Andrea," she said seriously, "I'm being serious."
