Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Boy No One Saw

The school campus was beautiful.

Tall buildings stood proudly under the bright sky, surrounded by green trees and wide pathways. Laughter and chatter filled the air as hundreds of students walked through the corridors.

From the outside, the school looked perfect—like a place where dreams were built.

Inside the classrooms, lectures were going on.

Some students listened carefully, taking notes and answering questions.

Others whispered to their friends or secretly checked their phones under the desk.

Near the window, Suho sat quietly in his seat.

A warm ray of sunlight slipped through the glass and landed directly on his face. Squinting slightly, he raised his hand and blocked the light.

For a moment, everything felt calm.

Suho was handsome in a quiet way.

Soft features, dark eyes, and a gentle expression that made him look younger than he actually was. If someone saw him for the first time, they might think he had a peaceful life.

But that was far from the truth.

Suho was an orphan.

No parents.

No family.

No one waiting for him after school.

And in a place like this school—where most students came from rich and powerful families—that made him an easy target.

The bullying had started slowly.

At first, it was just small things.

"Hey, Suho. Go bring us some drinks from the vending machine."

"Clean this desk."

"Carry our bags."

He had done it quietly, hoping that if he obeyed them, they would eventually leave him alone.

But bullies never stop when someone stays silent.

The requests soon turned into orders.

And the orders turned into humiliation.

The rich boys treated him like he wasn't even human. They laughed at him in front of everyone, pushed him around, and made him do things no student should ever have to do.

What hurt the most wasn't just the bullying.

It was the silence.

No one helped him.

Not the students.

Not the teachers.

Everyone saw what was happening, yet they simply looked away.

As if Suho didn't exist.

Day by day, the loneliness inside him grew heavier.

Sometimes, when he looked at his reflection in the mirror, a question would quietly appear in his mind.

Why does no one care about me?

Slowly… he began to hate himself.

One afternoon, things went too far.

Suho had already spent the entire day running errands for the same group of boys. By the time the last class ended, he was exhausted.

But the bullying didn't stop.

"Hey, orphan."

One of the boys kicked the leg of his chair.

"Go clean the classroom before you leave."

The others laughed loudly.

Something inside Suho snapped.

For the first time, he stood up.

His hands were trembling, but his eyes were filled with anger.

Without thinking, he pushed the boy in front of him.

The classroom suddenly fell silent.

No one had ever seen Suho fight back before.

The boy stumbled a step backward, shocked.

Then his face twisted with rage.

"You're dead."

That evening, as the sun disappeared behind the buildings, the boy dragged Suho to the rooftop of the school.

The wind was cold up there.

The sky had already started turning dark.

Suho barely had time to react before the punches started.

One after another.

Fists slammed into his face, his stomach, his ribs.

He tried to defend himself at first, but the other boy was stronger—and angrier.

Soon, Suho collapsed onto the ground.

But the beating didn't stop.

By the time it was over, Suho could barely move.

His body ached everywhere.

His vision blurred as he struggled to breathe.

The boy spat near him before leaving.

"Stay where you belong, trash."

The rooftop door slammed shut.

Suho was left alone.

Hours later, long after the school had become quiet, Suho slowly stood up.

Every step hurt.

But he kept walking.

He walked past the empty streets.

Past the glowing city lights.

Past the last buildings of the city.

Until eventually…

he reached the ocean.

The sea stretched endlessly before him, dark and mysterious.

The night was silent except for the sound of waves gently crashing against the shore.

The moon hung high in the sky, casting silver light across the water.

Suho stood at the edge of the cliff and looked down at the endless ocean below.

For a long moment, he said nothing.

Then he slowly looked up at the moon.

"Do you know something?" he whispered.

His voice was quiet, almost lost in the wind.

"Being helpless… hurts more than anything."

His eyes slowly filled with tears.

"It makes you cry."

"And sometimes…"

His voice broke.

"…it makes you want to die."

The wind blew softly through his hair as he stared at the ocean.

"Living like this is worse than dying."

He laughed bitterly.

"Even if I disappear… no one will come looking for me."

"No one will cry for me."

His tears began to fall, one after another, dropping into the ocean below like tiny waves.

"I just want to disappear from this world…"

"…as if I never existed."

For a moment, the world felt completely still.

Suho closed his eyes.

And stepped forward.

Then—

he jumped.

The cold water swallowed him instantly.

His injured body sank deeper and deeper into the dark ocean.

Blood slowly spread from his wounds, turning the water around him red.

The deeper he sank, the darker the world became.

His consciousness began fading.

Everything felt distant.

Heavy.

Quiet.

Then suddenly—

a strange light appeared in the darkness.

It was soft at first.

A glowing blue light moving through the water.

It grew brighter as it approached him.

Closer.

Closer.

But before Suho could open his eyes to see what it was…

his vision went black.

And then—

two glowing hands gently touched him.

The moment they did, something strange happened.

The pain in his body began to fade.

His wounds slowly started healing.

The mysterious hands wrapped around him and began pulling him upward through the dark water.

Toward the surface.

Toward the moonlight.

And somewhere within that glowing light…

a pair of beautiful ocean-blue eyes quietly watched the unconscious boy.
