Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Hacked: Starting Today, Everything Changes

First things first — Constitution Cards are a one-time choice. Just as you can only pick one cultivation system, you're locked in once you decide.

Become an immortal cultivator and you can't be a ninja. Become a ninja and you can't become a Soul Reaper. (That system's data hadn't even been uploaded yet — it's just an example.) This isn't some cash-grab trick to make players spend more. The real reason is that different power systems can clash at a fundamental level.

For instance:

- Immortal Cultivation True Qi = Spiritual component × Spiritual Essence × Elemental Energy, varies depending on the cultivation technique

- Chakra = Spiritual × Physical Essence × God Tree contamination (Elemental Energy)

- Zanpakutō (Reiatsu) = Spiritual × Special Elemental Energy × Soul Orb modification

Notice that nearly every cultivation system involves the soul's essence. Choosing one path means your soul begins evolving down that particular road. And one leg can't walk two different paths — the same soul can't split its spiritual energy and undergo two different transformations simultaneously. If it tried, the conflicting modifications would very likely cause a mental breakdown — or even soul-level chaos. These systems each carved their own unique path, perfectly aligned with the laws of their respective worlds.

Accepting a Constitution Card means accepting the power seed of a particular cultivation system. President Maya had stockpiled quite a few over the years — she had over a dozen "WWII Konoha Genin Constitution" cards alone. Use any one of them, and Maya would qualify as a ninja trainee.

Unfortunately, even seeds of the same type aren't equal. Some sprout sturdy branches. Some are shriveled duds. Some never bloom or bear fruit. And some are dead seeds from the start.

What defines a genin? Those who never developed an elemental chakra nature — that's your standard genin. And that's not just a label — characters like Naruto, Sasuke, and Might Guy don't count in that category; they have their own exclusive character Constitution Cards.

Think about it: even a war as brutal as the Second Shinobi World War couldn't unlock the potential of these people. They died as genin. Why would Maya be out of her mind enough to pick garbage Constitution Cards like those? Though, if it were the goofy, comedic Boruto-era genin, she might actually gamble on them — maybe some decent genin just never got their chance because peacetime made them soft.

Accepting a Constitution Card is essentially letting the God Tree's power contaminate your soul. During that contamination, your constitution slowly transforms to match the card. Use one card, and your soul is already tainted — it can no longer accept any other.

This was precisely why Maya needed to make this choice count. After all, Naruto and Sasuke — those two walking cheat codes — had made one thing crystal clear: a great constitution matters more than almost anything else. Any veteran Kage-level shinobi would agree wholeheartedly. The gap felt something like the difference between Barcelona or Real Madrid and the rest of La Liga.

Maya's reason for choosing the Third Hokage's Constitution Card was deliberate. Yes, she was the system's designer — she knew that pairing it with Orochimaru's constitution would create a powerful synergy buff in-game, making his already-formidable techniques even more devastating.

But there was something Maya understood better than anyone: the drop rate for Orochimaru's skills on the black market was abysmal. She'd been grinding for nearly three years. Last year, she'd finally pulled a Silver-tier "Hidden Shadow Snake Hands" — but her item slots were full and she couldn't keep it. The system was now offline, with no way to farm points and refresh the black market. Influence points were limited; there was no VIP bonus, and relying on the gacha wheel was completely unreliable.

There was one more thing bothering the young President. Orochimaru's skills were just… disgusting.

That long, slick tongue dripping with saliva. That pale, corpse-white face. That ambiguous, androgynous voice. Those tentacle-like snake heads flying every which way—

If it weren't for the hope of eventually pulling "White Snake Spirit" — a broken skill that would have perfectly paired with that constitution — Maya would have tossed the Orochimaru card ages ago. Why wait until now?

If she ever got her hands on top-tier skills like "White Snake Spirit" or "Cursed Seal," she wouldn't need Orochimaru's creepy techniques at all. Just those divine-grade moves would already blow the Third Hokage's constitution out of the water.

Besides, everyone knew elemental affinities weren't purely innate — they could be developed through training too. In practice, most ninja only used the handful of elements they actually knew well.

So here were the two paths:

Go with Orochimaru — and pray for good luck. Best case: wake up tomorrow and pull a broken skill. Worst case: Thanos has already toured Earth while she's still sitting there grinding.

Go with the Third Hokage's Constitution Card — and gain the ability to learn any skill she pulls, including Orochimaru's broken techniques. Whether she could master them was entirely on her. Still, the Third Hokage card was ultimately just a Gold Lv.1 item. Higher tiers existed — advanced Gold-tier Uchiha clan cards, even Diamond-tier Madara Uchiha Constitution Cards…

Having recovered her energy, President Maya finally began testing the ninja constitution she had worked so hard to obtain.

She closed her eyes, sat cross-legged on the bed, and emptied her mind. Sure enough, she could dimly sense an energy beginning to stir somewhere deep inside her.

President Maya smiled and continued meditating.

Fifteen minutes later — the energy was still just stirring.

Thirty minutes later — still stirring.

A large, exasperated "#" crease seemed to appear on her smooth forehead.

After propping her chin up and thinking for a good while, Maya finally figured out what was missing — the Chakra Extraction Technique.

That sneaky little thing. So easy to forget.

It was only ever vaguely hinted at in the show — never spelled out as clearly as other jutsu were. Naruto, that delinquent who somehow scraped through six years of ninja academy with terrible shuriken marks and couldn't even do a basic transformation technique, had still managed to build up a massive reservoir of chakra. This proved the academy did teach chakra extraction, and it wasn't even that hard — this was Naruto we were talking about. His struggles were Nine-Tails related, not technique related.

A gacha pull? Maya wasn't counting on that.

She squared her shoulders and mentally hyped herself up with: "If a knucklehead like Naruto could learn this from a mediocre teacher like Iruka, it can't be that hard."

To better sense and extract chakra, Maya stripped off her cartoon superhero pajamas — sticky with sweat anyway. Nobody was watching. She sat there, bare, with her modest curves, crossed her bare legs, swept her fluffy, disheveled hair back from her pale stomach, and settled into the five-hearts-to-heaven pose, palms and soles facing upward, beginning to meditate in earnest.

Maybe shedding the physical constriction of clothing actually helped. Maybe it was the mental suggestion of freedom. Either way, President Maya gradually felt a faint ring of soft green light rise in her mind. It slowly radiated outward — down through her bones and muscles, into every corner of her body.

Eyes still shut, she felt her perspective suddenly move. Like a satellite camera plunging down from outer space, zooming in from a starlit sky to the Earth below, then plunging further underground — revealing mountains and rivers, vast and magnificent.

The experience was so overwhelming that President Maya lost track of time entirely. She forgot the small room around her. The noise from outside faded to nothing. Even her sense of self dissolved — all that remained was the magnificent, awe-inspiring, strange and wondrous landscape stretching out before her inner eye.

Deep in that reverie, her mind running on autopilot, a string of text flickered across her consciousness. The faint green energy that had risen from her body pulled back inward, flowing along a specific internal path. Slowly, a bewitching golden-yellow light spot appeared five centimeters below Maya's navel, pulsing steadily—
