Arjun had always believed that the old house at the end of Maple Street was empty. Everyone in the town said it had been abandoned for years. The windows were dusty, the garden was overgrown, and the wooden gate creaked whenever the wind blew.
But one night, something changed.
At exactly 12:00 AM, Arjun noticed a faint golden light glowing from one of the upstairs windows.
Curious and a little nervous, he stepped closer to the rusted gate. The air felt strangely cold, even though it was summer. As he pushed the gate open, it let out a long, eerie squeak that echoed through the silent street.
Inside the house, the front door slowly opened by itself.
Arjun froze.
No wind.
No sound.
Just darkness inside… and that same golden light coming from the staircase.
His heart pounded as he stepped inside. Each footstep made the floor creak. The light grew brighter as he climbed the stairs.
Then he saw it.
A small wooden door at the end of the hallway—a door he had never seen before.
And carved into it were three words:
"DO NOT ENTER."
Suddenly, the door handle started turning on its own.
And something from the other side… whispered Arjun's name.
