Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Night Everything Changed

Rain poured heavily over the quiet city.

The streets were empty, and the cold wind howled through the dark alleys. Inside a small apartment, a teenage boy sat near the window watching the storm.

His name was Kael Veyron.

"Kael, dinner is ready," his mother called from the kitchen.

Kael smiled slightly. His mother, Elara, was the only family he had. Life wasn't perfect, but he was happy.

He walked to the dining table and sat down.

"You should focus more on your studies," Elara said gently while placing food on the table. "Your entrance exam is coming soon."

Kael sighed. "I know, Mom."

But before he could say anything else…

BOOM!

A deafening explosion shook the entire building.

The windows shattered instantly.

"What was that?!" Kael shouted.

Elara's face suddenly turned pale.

"No… it can't be…" she whispered.

Then the lights went out.

A terrifying pressure filled the room. It felt as if the air itself had become heavy.

Kael struggled to breathe.

Slow footsteps echoed outside the broken door.

Step… Step… Step…

A tall figure walked into the room.

His eyes glowed like burning fire.

Kael felt pure terror as the man looked down at them.

"A descendant of the God Slayer bloodline…" the man said coldly. "So the rumors were true."

Kael didn't understand anything.

"W-What are you talking about?"

But before he could react, Elara suddenly stepped in front of him.

Her voice was no longer gentle.

It was sharp and powerful.

"You should not have come here, Maldrath."

The man smiled darkly.

"Still protecting him after all these years?"

Kael froze.

His mother… knew this monster?

Maldrath raised his hand, and the entire room cracked under the pressure of his power.

"Hand over the boy," he said. "Or both of you will die."

Elara slowly turned toward Kael.

Her eyes were filled with sadness… and determination.

"Kael… listen to me carefully," she said.

Kael's heart started pounding.

"You must survive… no matter what happens tonight."

"What are you saying, Mom?" Kael asked, fear creeping into his voice.

But Elara simply smiled.

Then she whispered something that would change Kael's life forever.

"Your father… was not human."

Before Kael could react—

A massive blast of divine energy exploded across the room.

And the night that began with simple rain…

became the beginning of a war against the gods.
