In just a single second, the beast opened its mouth wide and let out a piercing scream, followed by a violent gust of wind that whipped my hair violently backward while the sandy wind slapped my face and blurred my vision.
Then it charged toward me at a terrifying speed, as if it were tearing through the distance between us.
The corners of my mouth slowly turned up.
And suddenly…
I vanished from in front of it.
I appeared right on top of its back.
My chapped lips moved slowly, and I whispered:
"Open."
Intertwined blue and white auras gathered around my hands, and electric sparks began to dance between them. Moments later, a dazzling white sword, the color of snow, took shape, emitting a cool light amid the desert's heat.
I raised it high.
The scorching sunlight reflected off it, then a mysterious black aura gradually began to wrap around its blade, until part of it was dazzling white and another part was pitch black.
I lunged at the beast with the sword.
This time… the sword pierced its skin.
The beast's body shook violently, and an angry screech shook the sand around us. It began to burrow frantically into the sand, trying to shake me off, but my grip remained tight around the sword.
When it surged back toward the surface, I was still clinging to its back. I raised my other hand, and in the blink of an eye, a black dagger appeared between my fingers.
With lightning speed, I began delivering a flurry of blows to its body.
I screamed as red lines gradually appeared around my eyes, and a mad, hysterical laugh burst from my lips.
Drops of his green blood splattered all around me, onto my hair and clothes, but I didn't stop.
I raised the sword once more as the beast thrashed violently from side to side, then delivered another blow, before pulling it forcefully downward while still clinging to it.
The blade sliced violently across its back, from top to bottom. Its tough hide tore open, a long gash running across its body as green blood spurted into the air in massive quantities.
I left the dagger lodged in the side of its body, then leaped up, grabbing the tip of the giant beast's tail. I began spinning it with lightning-fast speed, like a whirlwind, as its sticky blood splattered everywhere, and the echo of my hysterical laughter filled the barren desert; I hurled its massive body high into the sky.
Silence fell...
I slowly raised my finger upward, my gaze fixed downward, my expression cold and unchanging.
At that moment, white and blue sparks began to gather at the tip of my finger, growing larger and larger and larger, until they transformed into a sinister and terrifying ball of energy that twisted and spun wildly, aimed directly at the monster's body plummeting from the sky.
My white hair whipped violently, and the sand around me shot up wildly due to the intense pressure.
My lips moved very slowly, and I whispered:
"Open…"
I shot forward like a missile toward the monster's body plummeting through the air, and in a single second… A massive explosion rocked the sky. A fierce wind swept away the nearby sand dunes around us, while a green rain of blood poured down over the entire area. Not a trace of the monster remained… except for the falling drops of blood.
A deafening silence reigned for a moment…
The corners of my mouth curved into a faint smile, then my long white hair began to return to its original length. The color of my eyes shifted from pure white back to a pale blue, and the mysterious markings on my forehead and body gradually faded away,
The sword vanished from my hand, and with it, that sinister smile faded from my face.
My eyes hardened and I froze in place, raising my hand to look at it beneath the sticky green rain pouring from the sky. I hadn't processed what had just happened, and I said in a low, trembling voice:
"What happened…? Who did all this…?"
