As Arthur drifts toward the sun, Excalibur floating away from his half-conscious body, after all that fighting with dragon, the only thing going through his head is whether everybody on Earth is okay. After all, the great Knight King did cut the planet in half.
As he's thinking this, he feels a warmth and hears a voice—a female voice. His eyes shoot open. He looks around. He's no longer in space; he's in an endless white void. He glances down and notices that he's in a bed. The bottom half of his body and his left hand are back. *Where the hell am I? I was just in spa—*
"Hello, Arthur."
Out of nowhere, a woman appears. She has long golden hair, a flowing white dress, a golden halo above her head, six angelic wings on her back, and her eyes are covered. She wears a polite smile and gives off a warm, motherly aura.
Arthur: "Who are you, and where am I?"
???: "I go by many names, but you may call me Gaia. I am the god of everything, and you are everywhere and nowhere at the same time. I simply call it the Void."
Arthur: "Okay, but why am I here?"
Gaia: "Well, you died, so I decided to bring you here and give you a quest."
Arthur: "A quest, you say? And what is this quest?"
Gaia: "It's simple. I will teleport you to a new world filled with heroes and villains, and your job is to become the number-one hero."
Arthur: "Hero? Wouldn't it be better to send Shinra? He's the one who wants to be a hero."
Gaia: "Your friend Shinra hasn't died yet, and he still has a lot to do in his world."
Gaia: "So, Knight King Arthur, do you accept this quest?"
Arthur: "Of course. I would never decline the request of a fair maiden."
As Arthur accepts the quest, Excalibur appears in Gaia's hands. Arthur kneels. Gaia taps Arthur's right shoulder with Excalibur.
Gaia: "Arise, Arthur Boyle, and become the Knight King once again."
As Arthur stands up and opens his eyes, he is no longer in the Void. He opens his eyes to see a woman's face—long blonde hair and sky-blue eyes.
