Chapter 432: A Whole Group of Cheaters
Kamado Tanjirō: Huh? But... but humans and demons are fundamentally different, aren't they? Don't demons have to eat people? If Nezuko ends up as a man-eating demon someday, what am I supposed to do?
Kamado Tanjirō: That's why I want to turn her back into a human. But right now there's nothing I can actually do about it... Nezuko is the only family I have left in this world.
RawrSoFierce: Didn't you say you have a few younger siblings, and a mother too?
Kamado Tanjirō: They were all killed by the demon. You saw it yourself, benefactor.
RawrSoFierce: Yaraya~ra, don't worry, didn't I already tell you? I've got your family's bodies properly preserved. Once you're strong enough, you can just revive them yourself, can't you?
Kaguya-sama: I just noticed Admin-sama's tone is starting to sound more and more like Yukari-nee's. Not sure if that's just me.
Eternally Seventeen: Hm... reviving people isn't actually all that difficult, honestly. I could probably manage it myself, at my current strength.
Eternally Seventeen: I actually tested it a little while ago — squashed a bug flat, then brought it back to life.
Eternally Seventeen: I'm calling this ability — Life and Death, Version 2.0!
RawrSoFierce: Hm... in that case, might as well have Yukari give it a shot.
RawrSoFierce: If that doesn't work, the Ancient One can try too — her Time Stone's got some real weight to it.
Edward Newgate: Wait... going by that logic, does Thatch actually have a shot at coming back?
Eternally Seventeen: Thatch? Oh! Right, I remember now — the one Blackbeard killed. One of Whitebeard's sons, wasn't he?
Eternally Seventeen: He's been gone over a year now, sure, but that doesn't mean it's not worth a try. As long as there's a body — even just bones — it's worth attempting.
The Ancient One: I've never actually used the Time Stone to revive anyone. Mostly out of concern that misusing it could make me lose myself, especially something as serious as pulling someone free of death's own laws.
The Ancient One: But I'm considerably stronger now than I used to be. Might be worth trying myself.
Crazy Diamond: Shame... if the soul hasn't fully dissipated yet, a few punches from me could bring a dead person right back on the spot.
Roar of the Evil Dragon: I know a genuinely dangerous forbidden spell that can drag a dead soul out of the underworld. Though there's a real chance it drags out something far more dangerous along with it.
My True Form Is Cola: H-hold on a second! Doesn't that mean more than one of us in this group can actually bring people back from the dead?!
RawrSoFierce: Emmm... you're only just realizing that now?
My True Form Is Cola: Terrifying!!
Terrible Tornado: So that basically means we don't even need to worry about dying in a fight going forward — as long as the body's intact, and the soul's intact, revival's basically on the table?
Admiral Kizaru: I strongly suspect we're all playing on cheat codes here, and I've got plenty of evidence to back that up!
Kaguya-sama: Shame nobody's around to actually hold us cheaters accountable.
Street-Corner Illustrator: That's a little too real, honestly!
Nine-Tailed Fox Spirit: Learned a new word today — "cheater." Writing it down in my notebook!
"..."
Back in the Demon Slayer world, Tanjirō stared at the chat log, utterly stunned, watching his senpais' conversation unfold in front of him.
Revival was... really this simple? Practically any senior member in this group could just casually bring someone back to life?
Something about the whole thing left him with a strange, dreamlike feeling.
Then a soft ding sounded in his head — someone had tagged him.
And the one tagging him turned out to be a certain youkai sage — Yukari.
Eternally Seventeen: @Kamado Tanjirō, you don't actually need to fixate on turning your sister back into an ordinary human, you know — this might actually be an opportunity for her, in its own way!
Eternally Seventeen: If you can get me a single drop of that Demon King person's blood, and give me a day or two to study it, I could probably brew up a formula that lets your sister overcome her need to eat people, and her weakness to sunlight too.
Eternally Seventeen: A demon who doesn't need to eat people and isn't afraid of the sun is basically just a human with extraordinary power, isn't she?
Kamado Tanjirō: Huh? That's... that's actually possible?!
Kamado Tanjirō: But I don't have that demon king's blood...
My True Form Is Cola: Then what are you waiting for? Go get strong fast, and drain some blood out of him!
My True Form Is Cola: Admin-sama already said the Demon Slayer world — your world — has weaker combat power than One Piece.
RawrSoFierce: To be precise... it doesn't even hit half of One Piece's power level.
My True Form Is Cola: Shocking! Well, fine, let's say it's less than half of One Piece's power level — you could still hit that level yourself within the Dimensional Chat Group in under half a year.
My True Form Is Cola: With a bit of good luck, maybe just one or two months.
My True Form Is Cola: And if your luck really pops off and you land a chance to mooch off a group quest, it could take just a few days.
Kamado Tanjirō: Half a year? One or two months? A few days? That's... that's really it?
My True Form Is Cola: Under normal circumstances, yeah, pretty much!
RawrSoFierce: Hm... yeah, honestly, that tracks about right.
"..."
Umaru wasn't feeding the newcomer some hollow pep talk here — none of it was needless flattery.
Everything she'd said was simply true. That was exactly how fast strength grew inside the Dimensional Chat Group.
Land one lucky shot at mooching off a group quest, casually pick up forty or fifty thousand Points, and dump all of it straight into raw power —
That alone would probably be enough to steamroll the entire Demon Slayer world outright.
Every last member of the Dimensional Chat Group was, functionally, playing on cheat codes to begin with. The only real variable was whose luck happened to be running hot and whose wasn't.
Good luck meant a more impressive cheater. Bad luck meant a weaker one.
As for hitting half of One Piece's canon peak combat power...
As far as Umaru understood it, even with luck as bad as Yukari's or Tony Stark's, it still shouldn't take more than half a year, tops.
Anything past that, and the newcomer's own bad luck would genuinely have to be something else entirely.
As for someone unluckier than Yukari or Tony Stark, specifically...
Honestly? In her whole time in this group, Umaru had never once actually seen it happen.
