"Before we begin our opening feast, I would like introduce our new Defence Against Dark Arts Professor. He's an Hit-Wizard who have been active for the past five years. Let's welcome, Wayne Logan." Albus Dumbledore announced as he clapped his hands for applause.
And right on que, the main doors opened and in came the man of hour, Wayne Logan. With his spiky silver black hair all over the place, a black wand resting on his right ear, his amber eyes scanning the Great Hall with mirth and excitement, his boots tapping on the floor as he walked, his left hand firmly holding his jacket over his left shoulder, all of that was noted by the students who were excited to see a young professor coming to teach them and that too a Hit Wizard.
But not all of them were excited, especially, the Slytherin seventh and sixth years, they all had a sour look on their face as they watched Wayne walk down through the middle in swag.
Ravenclaw seventh and sixth years were excited to see Wayne, Gryffindors were torn between excitement and a bit of fear and the Hufflepuff seniors were sitting in their seats like coiled sping, ready to jump into action.
Wayne smiled at them all not minding the varying degrees of expressions from the student body. As he reached the middle of the Great Hall, he looked around the students one more time and said out loud "I'm back."
"Welcome Back!!!!" The Hufflepuff seniors welcomed him back with enthusiasm that was never seen in the Hufflepuff House.
Up in the staff table, Professor Snape was wearing a scowl, Professor McGonagall was wearing an exasperated face, Professor Sprout was all smiles watching the new Defence Professor and the enthusiasm of her Badgers. Professor Flitwick was also wearing a smile on his face and was equally excited as the Hufflepuff seniors. Professor Vector and Professor Babbling looked at Wayne with a fond smile.
Giving an exaggerated bow towards the Hufflepuff table, Wayne continued on his way to the staff table. Before sitting down, he told the students "Just for your information, I'll be teaching you guys in a way that you will question whether I'm supposed to teach you guys. Well, I'm not." That made the students look bemused and the staff look at him a frown
"I'm not hear to tech you guys. No, I'm here to train you guys enough, so that when you go out the well known as Hogwarts and enter the ocean known as Wizarding World, you will be able to survive for a long time." With his piece said, he sat down in his seat after draping his coat over the chair.
The students looked at Wayne like he had a second head and some of the staffs scoffed and some of the staffs nodded in approval, especially Dumbledore, McGonagall, Snape, Vector and Babbling.
Shaking his head in amusement at what Wayne had said, Dumbledore said our loud "Let the feast begin!"
