Emma stared at the contract in her hands long after she had signed it.Her heart was still beating fast.Did she really just agree to marry the most powerful billionaire in the city?Alexander Knight stood up from his chair and adjusted his black suit calmly, as if nothing important had just happened."To avoid rumors," he said coldly, "our marriage will take place tomorrow."Emma's eyes widened."Tomorrow?"Alexander looked at her without emotion."Yes. A small private ceremony. Only a few people will attend."Emma felt overwhelmed. Everything was happening too fast."After the wedding," Alexander continued, "you will move into my mansion."Emma suddenly felt nervous.Living with him?The thought alone made her uncomfortable.Alexander walked toward the large window again."There are rules you must follow," he said.Emma frowned slightly."Rules?"Alexander turned to face her."Rule number one: Do not interfere with my personal life."Emma blinked."Rule number two: Do not ask unnecessary questions."He paused for a moment."And rule number three… do not fall in love with me."Emma couldn't help but laugh a little."Trust me," she said. "That won't happen."Alexander looked at her silently for a few seconds.Then he smirked slightly."We'll see."The next day.Emma stood inside a beautiful but quiet hall.She was wearing a simple white dress that Alexander's assistant had chosen for her.Everything felt unreal.A priest stood in front of them.Within minutes, the ceremony was over.Just like that…Emma Carter became Emma Knight.Later that evening, a black luxury car stopped in front of a huge mansion.Emma stared at it in shock."Is this really your house?" she asked.Alexander walked past her without answering."Come inside."The mansion was enormous.Crystal chandeliers hung from the ceiling. Expensive paintings decorated the walls.Emma felt like she had stepped into another world.A group of servants stood in a line."Welcome home, Mr. and Mrs. Knight," they said politely.Emma felt embarrassed.Mrs. Knight.She wasn't used to hearing that name.Alexander looked at one of the maids."Show her to her room."Emma followed the maid upstairs.But suddenly Alexander's voice stopped her."Emma."She turned around.Alexander looked at her seriously."Remember this marriage is only a contract."Emma nodded."I know."But deep inside her heart…Something told her this contract marriage would soon become far more complicated than either of them expected.
