Chapter 3 - Chapter 2.5 : Awakening of Dragon Blood

Ren Hao stared at the fallen centaur in disbelief.

The crossbow bolt had pierced straight through the creature's skull, dropping it instantly.

For a moment, the world fell silent.

Then something strange happened.

Golden threads suddenly erupted from the centaur's body, floating through the air like strands of light. They twisted and wove together above Ren Hao's head, forming rows of glowing characters.

Ren Hao blinked in shock.

He could see them clearly.

**Name:** Ren Hao

**Race:** Dragon-Blooded Human

**Level:** 1

**Class:** None

**Strength:** 16

**Dexterity:** 10

**Constitution:** 14

**Intelligence:** 12

**Wisdom:** 20

**Charisma:** 10

**Talent:** Dragon Blood — Twin Pupils

Ren Hao's breath caught in his throat.

Dragon blood?

His vision suddenly shifted.

The world sharpened dramatically.

Every leaf in the forest became visible.

He could hear the faint flutter of an owl's wings somewhere deep within the trees. Even the distant scent of alcohol from the centaur camp reached his nose.

Ren Hao instinctively touched his face.

His pupils had changed.

Each eye now held **two overlapping pupils**, forming a strange infinity-like shape.

His strange perception… had stabilized.

The chaotic bursts of heightened senses he had experienced since arriving in this world were finally under control.

"Interesting…"

A voice sounded beside him.

Ren Hao looked up to see **General Lady Feng** watching him carefully.

"You've awakened your Dragon Blood."

Ren Hao blinked.

"Dragon Blood?"

Lady Feng nodded.

"According to ancient legends, the ancestors of the Crimson Sun Empire carried the blood of dragons."

"Most people only retain faint traces."

"But sometimes… that blood awakens."

She crossed her arms.

"When it does, the person gains a unique ability called a **Dragon Talent**."

Her crimson eyes studied him with clear interest.

"In your case… enhanced perception."

Ren Hao frowned slightly.

"But why do I have no class?"

Lady Feng raised an eyebrow.

"You don't even know that?"

Ren Hao shook his head.

"I grew up on the frontier."

Lady Feng sighed.

"Very well. I'll explain."

She pointed toward the soldiers behind them.

"In this world, power comes through **classes**."

"Most soldiers begin as **Warriors**. After training for several months, they gain their first combat level."

"Some follow specialized paths."

"Scouts, cavalry commanders, berserkers…"

She tapped the halberd resting on her shoulder.

"I myself follow the path of a **Cavalry General**."

Ren Hao nodded slowly.

"What about magic?"

Lady Feng snorted.

"You're dreaming."

"True magic requires knowledge."

"Spellcraft comes from ancient texts and manuals."

"And those books are controlled by the **great aristocratic clans**."

Her voice carried obvious disdain.

"They guard knowledge more fiercely than gold."

"Commoners like us rarely get the chance to learn."

Ren Hao felt slightly disappointed.

But as he looked at Lady Feng, something strange happened again.

Golden threads appeared around her body.

They formed a glowing display above her head.

**General Lady Feng — Dragon-Blooded Warrior**

Ren Hao's eyes widened.

Her physical strength was monstrous.

Far beyond normal human limits.

Lady Feng noticed his expression and smirked.

"Finished staring?"

Ren Hao quickly looked away.

"Yes, General."

Lady Feng lifted her halberd.

"Good."

Her eyes turned cold as she looked toward the distant village.

"Then let's finish the job."

"Tonight we destroy the centaur raiders."
