Chapter 3 - Chapter 2 - The Beginning of the Journey

The scent of gunpowder still lingered in the air when Moon left the shooting range.

The dangerous smile remained.

She didn't waste time.

Within fifteen minutes, she was on her way to the headquarters of the Moonlight conglomerate, the heart of her empire, a glass-and-steel skyscraper dominating the city's skyline.

At the top, in her panoramic office, Lucy was waiting.

Lucy, her best friend and secretary, was the only person in the world Moon trusted blindly.

"You look excited,"

Lucy commented, her sharp blue eyes analyzing the glow in Moon's silver ones.

"And sweaty. Good training?"

"The best one yet,"

Moon replied, sitting behind her ebony desk. She activated the room's soundproofing system with a tap on the panel.

"Lucy, what I'm about to tell you is insane. But it's the truth, and I need you."

Moon told her everything. About Boing, the transmigration system, the 30-day deadline, the S-rank mission to accumulate supplies for eighty years, and the existence of the "Perfect Dimension."

Lucy listened in silence, her expression shifting between skepticism and total shock.

"Alright..."

Lucy finally said.

"So either you're having a stress-induced psychotic break, or you're about to become a character in a Chinese web novel."

She took a deep breath.

"I choose the novel. What's the first move, Moon?"

Moon smiled.

"First, we sell everything. Absolutely everything. Leave only a few personal clothes. The rest of the empire will be liquidated as fast as possible."

"That's going to cause chaos in the market. Those grumpy old men... the lawyers and shareholders, will lose their minds."

"Let them lose it. I'm the heiress. I give the orders. Now, come with me. I'll show you my new vault."

Moon took Lucy's hand.

"Close your eyes for a second. It's a quick transition."

Lucy obeyed. Moon activated access to the Perfect Dimension for both of them.

The world around them changed instantly. The smell of coffee and paper from the office gave way to fresh, ethereal air.

When Lucy opened her eyes, her jaw dropped.

They were standing on a private avenue lined with towering centuries-old oak trees.

Ahead, the Aurora Borealis Mansion rose in all its Neo-Classical French glory.

The symmetrical façade of polished travertine marble reflected the light of that world, and the dark blue slate roof gave it the air of a European castle.

"Boing..."

Lucy whispered, her voice filled with awe.

"He copied... everything?"

"Even the scratches on my bedroom door,"

Moon confirmed, feeling a stab of nostalgia mixed with excitement.

They went inside.

The triple-height entrance hall, the Baccarat crystal chandelier, the Carrara marble spiral staircase with an ebony handrail and 24-karat gold details.

Everything was there.

Clothes in the closets, cars in the climate-controlled underground garage, even her father's secret weapons arsenal.

It was a perfect replica of the luxury Moon was about to abandon.

"How?"

Lucy asked, touching the library table.

"Magic? Alien technology? Honestly, Lu!? It doesn't matter. What matters is that it works."

After the initial shock, Moon's curiosity took over.

They walked through the vast gardens.

The dimension was a stunning mix of fairy realms from children's books and cultivation worlds from novels about transcendent beings.

Game-like interfaces floated discreetly in specific areas, displaying descriptions and usage options, most of them gray and locked, which immediately stirred Moon's competitive spirit.

Moon followed her instincts.

She headed toward the forest, where a unique waterfall stood out.

Water poured down from a floating stone, the most ethereal water Moon had ever seen, carrying a sweet, intoxicating scent.

[Source of Pure Vitality – Properties: Impurity Cleansing, Universal Healing, Enhancement, and Cultivation]

"Just like in the stories..."

Moon murmured.

Lucy looked at the water skeptically.

"Are you sure it's safe to drink water from a magical floating rock, Moon?"

Ignoring the warning, Moon crouched down and took a generous sip, cupping the water in her hands.

A wave of gentle warmth spread from her stomach to every corner of her body.

It wasn't just heat, it was pure energy.

A sense of lightness washed over her, and her already sharp mind seemed to reach new levels of clarity.

Worldly impurities she hadn't even known she carried were expelled through her pores.

"Wow,"

she gasped.

"This is... definitely magical and... gross!! I need a shower in the mansion right now."

Lucy, seeing her friend unharmed and glowing with renewed vitality, decided to try it too.

The effect was instant for her as well.

"We need to bottle this,"

Lucy said, her voice buzzing with new energy.

"And sell it. Oh, wait, we're selling everything."

Moon laughed, a truly carefree laugh.

"Exactly. Now, let's get out of here. We have to face those grumpy old men. The real fun starts now, after a very clear shower!"

They left the dimension and returned to the office.

The energy of the source still pulsed through their bodies, their skin visibly cleaner and rejuvenated.

The meeting with the lawyers and shareholders was a disaster.

The men in suits were shocked, trying to dissuade Moon from her "absurd" decision to liquidate the entire empire.

They argued, pleaded, and even threatened legal battles.

But they hadn't accounted for Moon's unshakable determination, now amplified by the Source of Pure Vitality.

"The decision is mine,"

Moon declared, her voice cold and commanding, like a predator at its apex.

"Prepare the paperwork. Sell everything, as fast as possible. In three days, I want zero assets and maximum cash on hand. Start now, or I'll replace every single one of you."

The look in her silver eyes, the same look she wore at the shooting range, silenced them all.

The heiress was not joking.
