Emily stared at Alexander like he had just suggested something insane.
"You want me to pretend to be your girlfriend?"
Alexander remained calm.
"Yes."
Emily laughed nervously.
"That's not funny."
"I'm not joking."
Emily stood up from the chair.
"This is ridiculous!"
Alexander leaned back in his chair, completely unfazed.
"Listen first."
Emily crossed her arms.
"Fine. Explain."
Alexander folded his hands together.
"The media already believes we're dating."
Emily sighed.
"That's their problem."
Alexander continued.
"My family also believes it."
Emily blinked.
"Your family?"
Alexander nodded.
"They are pressuring me to get married."
Emily's eyes widened.
"So you want to use me to escape marriage?"
Alexander shrugged.
"Temporary."
Emily shook her head.
"No way."
Alexander slid a document across the desk.
Emily looked down.
Contract Agreement
Her eyes widened.
"You already prepared this?!"
Alexander smirked slightly.
"I like planning ahead."
Emily skimmed through the contract.
Fake relationship.
Public appearances.
Six months.
Generous payment.
Emily's jaw dropped.
"This is insane."
Alexander watched her carefully.
"But possible."
