The morning after the charity event, Emily walked into Knight Corporation expecting a normal workday.
Instead, chaos greeted her.
Employees gathered in small groups, whispering and staring at their phones.
As soon as Emily stepped into the lobby, several people looked up.

"That's her."
Emily frowned.
"What's going on?"
When she reached the executive floor, one of the secretaries hurried over.
"Emily, have you seen the news?"
Emily shook her head.
The secretary handed her a phone.
A headline filled the screen.
"Knight Corporation CEO Seen Dancing With Mystery Woman."
Below it were several photos.
One showed Alexander holding Emily during the charity dance.
Another showed them arriving together.
Emily's jaw dropped.
"Oh no."
More headlines followed.
"Alexander Knight's Secret Girlfriend?"
"Cold CEO Finally Falls in Love."
Emily buried her face in her hands.
"This is a disaster."
Just then Alexander's office door opened.
He walked out calmly.
"Why is everyone standing around?"
The employees scattered instantly.
Emily approached him nervously.
"Did you see the news?"
Alexander glanced at the article.
Then he closed the phone.
"Media exaggeration."
Emily stared at him.
"They're calling me your girlfriend!"
Alexander shrugged.
"They will get bored soon."
Emily groaned.
"You're way too calm about this."
Alexander looked at her thoughtfully.
"Does it bother you?"
Emily crossed her arms.
"Of course it does."
Alexander leaned slightly closer.
"Why?"
Emily froze.
Her heart skipped for a second.
"I just… don't like rumors."
Alexander studied her carefully.
But before he could respond—
Another voice interrupted.
"Well, this is interesting."
Both of them turned.
A tall woman stood near the elevator.
Elegant.
Beautiful.
And clearly not happy.
