I slowly open my eyes to the early morning Sun passing through my room, I let out a sigh and turn my head to the side to look at my 'friend' Mori. We had a sleepover yesterday like we do everyday, it brings a smile to my face knowing that he's always right by my side.
I pull my groggy body up and shake him awake "Is it time to wake up Mai?" Mori said with his small but clear voice "Yes, we have to get ready" I stand up from the bed and prepare for school
After I'm done with all my preparations for school I head downstairs, surprisingly Mori was already done which was always strange to me since I never saw him leave the bed or try to prepare at all, but at least he's always by my side
I have a quick breakfast and say goodbye to my parents "Bye Mom and Dad, we're off"
Mai's parents look at her retreating figure until the door is shut "Where's the other person?" They say in perfect unison.
