As he expected, killing the witch was the best way to survive in this situation. Why? Once he eliminated all the undead monsters and human would stop attacking the village which gave them enough time to recover.

Nevertheless, there were two things bothered him. The first one was, after killing the witch he was afraid on how will affect the main story or the MC. With his intervention it certain that would affect the MC's progress.

So what if because of his intervention the MC was not able to save and rule the kingdom? It can be happened since there were lot of variables.

He calmly shook his head. He already appeared in this world so he have to make a way as well on how to survive, Kalin could not afford to throw away the second chance granted to him. Kalin must proceed no matter what.

The second problem right now was his fighting capabilities. Even though that he trained his body it does not mean that he can kill the opponent without having any casualties. On top of that, he had no battle experience which could be a big factor, the only advantage that he had was the knowledge.

Kalin understood that before confronting the witch, he should create a thorough plan first. By any chance that he committed one mistake that could lead to lost his life.

He looked at the sword that hanged on his waist, asking himself if he could wield this sword against the witch. "Within the four days of training, I tried to swing my sword, but I don't think if it is enough."

At this point, he looked at the screen with disappointed expression on his face. He was wondering why he didn't have any offensive skill, the only thing he had was the Manifestation Skill which was currently locked. Of course, this skill wasn't mentioned in the novel so he tried to gather information on how he can unlock, however, there was no information about the skill.

Several hours had passed, Herin was already done cleaning the house provided by Fan. While Kalin surrendered the food that they brought to Fan and asked them to prepare food so everyone could eat. It was composed by meat, vegetables, and fruits, it was enough for now to ease the hunger of the villagers.

His plan was to eat with them so that he could interact with another. However, when noticed that the villages were uncomfortable, he headed back to the house and ate his food there along with Herin.

In his mind, it was the first time that he went to this village, aside from that, he was the viscount's son so it was understandable if they felt uncomfortable around him. Soon enough they will be opened to him.

Moreover, after everyone finished eating the food. All the men in the villagers were now busy tighten their defense and roaming around the small village. They were doing to do this to make sure that no undead monster will come out of nowhere.

He went outside and saw Fan ordering the men, and also asking the women and children to go back their houses. As soon as Fan saw Kalin walked toward him, he slightly bowed his head.

"You should also back to your house, Sir Kalin. The night is about to come, it will be now dangerous here." Fan warned him.

Based on Fan's story, usually the undead were attacking the village at night until morning.

Kalin didn't pay attention to his warning as he would like to see the undead monster with his naked eyes. "That's fine, Fan. Also, just like what I said here, I am not here for vacation, I am here to help the village."

Fan didn't argue about it. "I understand, Sir Kalin. I will just leave you here since I have to make sure all the traps and defense are perfectly set up. I can't afford to lose more villagers."

Kalin smiled as he noticed on how Fan really cared about his people, he was not making them act like meat shield to the monsters.

"Don't mind me here, just do your job."

More minutes had passed, the entire place turned dark as the sun was already done. The gate was already closed and all the villagers took out their weapons preparing themselves to battle by any chance the monsters were able to pass.

Ahuu! Ahuu! Ahuu!

From afar, everyone could hear the wolves howling along with a cold breeze touching their skin.

"Young master, you should head inside and rest. It's dangerous here, let the villagers guarded the village for now." Herin said in a polite tone.

Kalin looked at her in the corner of his eyes. "That's fine, Herin. I have to see it myself."

"But young master-!"

Kalin raised his hand as he signal Herin to stop. "I am not here to listen to your orders, go back to the village at once."

Herin nodded her head. "I understand. Please be careful, young master."

Kalin looked at Herin heading back to the house, he then sighed. He said those words because he would like to act rude in front of Herin, he did this because no matter what he said Herin will insist to head back to the house, not only that, Herin was not skilled to protect herself against the monsters, so it was way safer to stay there.

Bam! Bam! Bam!

All of a sudden, everyone was stiffened after hearing someone trying to break the wooden gate. Villagers pointed their weapons at the direction of the gate while Kalin held the sword because any moment a fight will break out here.

The gate wasn't sturdy as before and Kalin noticed that it was repaired multiple times, it was easy now for the monster to destroy it once again. "This is gonna be my first battle here." He said while feeling his hands getting cold.

Killing the undead was his only option right now. Why? Because he had no idea where was the current location of the witch. On top of that, the Witch here was sly one, she will never reveal her existence to anyone.

Creek!

An awkward smile appeared on his face as he heard the wooden gate now was started to break. The villagers were alarmed in this occurrence that's why they hurriedly went toward the gate to intercept them.

Villagers were using their swords and spears to block the undead goblin and human behind the gate. However, no matter how much damage they dealt there was no sign of stopping for the undead creatures.

Step back!

They are about to enter!

Prepared yourself this is will be long battle!

Villagers said as they knew this battle would continue until the morning. Of course, they well aware that they could not last for that long battle, but there was no left option right now, or else all the people here will be annihilated by these undead.

17 monsters were now inside the villages, it composed of 9 Goblins, 4 wolves, and 4 humans. These humans were the villagers who died when they were hunting animals in the forest.

When the villagers saw them, all of them were paused and had dim expression on their faces as it was hard for them hurt the people who been part by this village. Not only that, all the families they left were still hoping that they were alive.

Kalin noticed the hesitation on their eyes, knowing if they acted like this, everyone would die.

"What are you doing? This is not the right time to hesitate. I know you knew these people, but they are not that used to know. If you stopped right now everyone here would be in danger even your loved ones."

Aside from that, by any chance one of them get bitten, they will be infected and turned to undead. It was also one of the dangerous part for dealing an undead.

Villagers looked at him, thinking what is the young man knew? He just went here. Nevertheless, they could not afford to put the others in a dangerous situation so they swung their weapons even it was hard for them.

Swish! Swish! Swish!

The undead were being pushed back due to their consecutive, but still they regaining their footing like nothing happen then keep pushing forward.

Moreover, Kalin already figured out the reason why the Villagers were having a hard time to deal with these undead as they had no idea what was the weakness. In order for the undead to stop from attacking, they have to behead them.

"Behead the undead at once-"

Kalin paused for a second as one of the goblin managed to breakthrough the defense and immediately rushed to him.
