Chapter 47: The First Visit
The following afternoon arrived quietly.
The coastal villa that Anshul had purchased the previous day was still almost completely empty. The spacious rooms echoed faintly whenever he walked across the polished wooden floors, and the large glass walls allowed sunlight to pour into the living room from the ocean side.
For now the house only contained the basic furniture that came with the property.
But even without decorations, the place already felt comfortable.
Anshul stood near the balcony railing, watching the waves rolling slowly toward the cliffs below. The peaceful view was one of the main reasons he had chosen this location.
It was quiet.
Private.
And far enough away from the noisy center of the city.
A few minutes later, the sound of a car approaching broke the silence.
Anshul looked toward the entrance driveway.
The familiar black limousine rolled to a stop outside the villa gates.
Joseph stepped out first and opened the rear door.
Mia followed a moment later.
She looked around the property with clear curiosity before walking toward the front entrance where Anshul was already waiting.
"So this is the mysterious villa," she said while looking up at the building.
"What do you think?"
"It looks expensive."
"That's because it is."
Mia laughed softly.
"Well, my boyfriend clearly doesn't do things halfway."
She stepped inside the house and immediately stopped in the middle of the living room.
The entire ocean was visible through the massive glass wall stretching across the far side of the room.
"Whoa…"
Her eyes widened.
"That view is incredible."
Anshul walked over beside her.
"That was the main reason I chose it."
Mia moved closer to the window and rested her hands lightly on the railing.
"You can literally see the ocean from your living room."
"Convenient, isn't it?"
"It's amazing," she replied.
She turned and began exploring the house with open curiosity, walking through the kitchen and then up the curved staircase to the second floor.
A few minutes later her voice echoed from upstairs.
"Anshul!"
"Yes?"
"You have like five bedrooms!"
"That seemed practical."
She reappeared at the top of the stairs and leaned over the railing.
"For who exactly?"
"For guests."
Mia grinned.
"Or princesses visiting their boyfriend?"
"That works too."
She walked back down the stairs slowly, her expression clearly impressed by the entire place.
"Okay," she said, crossing her arms slightly while looking around the living room again. "I officially approve of your villa."
"That's good to hear."
She walked toward the balcony door.
"Can we go outside?"
"Of course."
They stepped onto the balcony together.
The afternoon sun reflected across the ocean while the cool wind moved gently along the cliffs below.
For a moment neither of them spoke.
Mia finally leaned against the railing.
"You know," she said quietly, "a week ago my biggest worry was a school debate."
"And now?"
"Now I'm apparently the princess of a country."
She laughed softly.
"And my boyfriend owns a cliffside villa."
"Life moves quickly sometimes."
She turned toward him with a small smile.
"I'm glad you're part of it."
Anshul looked at her calmly.
"So am I."
The wind continued moving across the ocean as they stood there together.
For the first time since everything had changed, Mia looked completely relaxed.
And the quiet villa overlooking the sea had already begun to feel like a place where both of them could escape the chaos of the outside world.
