Chapter 1 - Bound bye Danger, Bound by love

The rain poured heavily over the dark streets of New York City. The lights from the tall buildings reflected on the wet roads, making the night look mysterious and cold. Inside a black luxury car sat Adrian Russo, the most feared mafia boss in the city.

Adrian was known for his power, his intelligence, and his cold heart. People whispered his name with fear. No one dared to betray him, and no one dared to cross his path.

But Adrian had one rule—never fall in love.

Love made people weak.

That rule stayed unbroken… until he met Elena Carter.

A Dangerous Encounter

Elena was completely different from Adrian's world. She was a kind, hardworking woman who worked at a small bookstore in Brooklyn. She loved books, quiet evenings, and peaceful life.

One night, as she was closing the shop, she heard loud footsteps outside. Suddenly the door burst open.

A tall man stumbled inside.

His white shirt was covered in blood.

Elena gasped. "Oh my God!"

The man looked at her with sharp grey eyes.

"Lock the door," he said in a low, commanding voice.

She froze for a moment but quickly locked it.

"Please… help me," he said before collapsing.

Elena rushed to him. She didn't know who he was, but she couldn't leave someone injured.

She cleaned his wound and carefully bandaged his shoulder. After some time, the man slowly opened his eyes again.

"You saved me," he said quietly.

Elena smiled nervously. "Anyone would."

He looked at her for a long moment.

"No," he said. "Not anyone."

That night, Elena unknowingly helped the most dangerous man in the city.

A Secret Revealed

The next day, Elena opened the bookstore as usual. But something felt strange.

A black car stopped outside.

Two men in suits stepped out and opened the door for someone.

Adrian Russo walked inside.

Elena's heart skipped a beat.

"You!" she said.

Adrian looked at her calmly. "I came to thank you."

She crossed her arms. "You didn't tell me you were… a mafia boss."

Adrian raised an eyebrow. "Would you have helped me if you knew?"

Elena paused.

"…Yes," she admitted.

For the first time in years, Adrian smiled.

A small one—but real.

Falling Into a Dangerous World

Days passed, and Adrian kept visiting the bookstore. Sometimes he bought books he never planned to read. Sometimes he just sat quietly and watched Elena work.

Slowly, they began talking more.

Elena discovered that Adrian was not only dangerous—he was also intelligent, thoughtful, and surprisingly gentle with her.

But Adrian knew something Elena didn't.

His enemies were watching.

One night, Adrian arrived at the bookstore looking tense.

"Elena," he said seriously. "You need to stay away from me."

She frowned. "Why?"

"Because my world is dangerous."

Elena looked straight into his eyes.

"I'm not afraid."

Adrian's jaw tightened.

"You should be."

But deep inside, he already knew he was falling for her.

And that terrified him.

Kidnapped

A week later, Adrian received the call that made his blood run cold.

"Elena Carter is with us."

His enemy—Victor Moretti, a rival mafia leader—laughed through the phone.

"If you want her alive, come alone."

Adrian's eyes darkened.

Nobody touched what belonged to him.

Nobody.

The Rescue

The abandoned warehouse stood silent under the moonlight.

Adrian walked in alone, exactly as ordered.

Victor stood there, smiling cruelly. Elena was tied to a chair behind him.

"Elena!" Adrian shouted.

She looked scared but relieved.

Victor laughed. "So the cold-hearted Adrian Russo finally has a weakness."

Adrian's voice became deadly calm.

"She is not a weakness."

Victor smirked. "Then what is she?"

Adrian stepped forward slowly.

"She's the reason you're about to lose everything."

Within seconds, chaos exploded.

Gunshots filled the warehouse. Adrian moved like a shadow—fast, precise, unstoppable.

Within minutes, Victor's men were defeated.

Adrian rushed to Elena and untied her.

She immediately hugged him tightly.

"I was so scared," she whispered.

Adrian held her close.

"I told you my world was dangerous."

Elena looked up at him.

"But I'm still here."

Love Stronger Than Fear

Weeks later, life slowly returned to normal.

Adrian still ruled the mafia world. Danger still surrounded him.

But now there was something new in his life.

Hope.

One evening, Adrian stood inside Elena's bookstore holding a small ring.

"I once believed love made people weak," he said.

Elena smiled softly. "And now?"

Adrian took her hand.

"Now I know it makes us stronger."

He slipped the ring onto her finger.

"Marry me."

Tears filled Elena's eyes as she laughed.

"Yes."

Outside, the city lights shined brighter than ever.

Because even in the darkest world of crime and power…

Love had found its way
