Chapter 1 - Chapter192: step brother

Jay-Jay POV

I didn't stop walking after I left the school gate.

The noise from the classroom was still ringing in my ears—the whispers, the shocked faces, the way everyone stared at me like I was some kind of secret that had finally been exposed.

My chest felt heavy.

Tears kept sliding down my cheeks as I walked along the road, wiping them away again and again, but they just kept coming back.

Why did everything have to happen like that…?

I didn't notice the car slowing down beside me until it suddenly stopped in front of my path.

The tires made a soft screech on the road.

I froze.

The driver's door opened.

Percy stepped out.

My heart tightened the moment I saw him.

"Why are you here?" I said quickly, my voice trembling. "Just leave me alone."

Percy didn't move for a moment. He looked at me like he was trying to find the right words.

Then he walked a little closer.

"I can't leave," he said quietly.

"Why not?" I snapped, wiping my tears angrily. "Haven't I been embarrassed enough today?"

Percy shook his head slowly.

"There's something I need to tell you."

I laughed bitterly.

"What now, Percy? What else could possibly make today worse?"

He took a deep breath, his expression suddenly serious.

"The truth… about everything."

My heart started beating faster.

"What are you talking about?"

For a second he stayed silent.

Then he finally said the words.

"Jay-Jay… I'm your stepbrother."

Everything around me felt quiet.

The cars passing, the wind, even the sound of my breathing—it all disappeared.

"What…?" I whispered.

Percy nodded slowly.

"Our parents… they were connected before. That's why I've always been around you."

I felt my hands shaking.

"And the reason everything was hidden," he continued softly, "is because you were born as an illegitimate child."

The words hit me harder than anything that happened in the classroom.

Tears fell again before I could stop them.

"No…" I said weakly, shaking my head. "That's not true."

Percy looked at me with sadness in his eyes.

"I didn't want you to find out like this," he said quietly. "But you deserved to know the truth."

I couldn't say anything.

Standing there on the side of the road, with Percy in front of me and the truth finally spoken, it felt like the world I knew had suddenly fallen apart. 💔
