Maya's POV
Tuesday morning found me standing outside my house, a sleek suitcase beside me and an elegant purse draped over my arm, both gifts from Sebastian. I had selected an understated outfit: perfectly fitted designer jeans, a navy silk top, and comfortable leather flats. Nothing ostentatious, yet still the most expensive ensemble I had ever owned.
My pulse quickened as a glossy black Lamborghini Urus glided to the curb. Sebastian emerged, impeccable in a charcoal suit, his sunglasses catching the morning light. The smile that spread across his face when he spotted me made my stomach flutter against my better judgment.
"Good morning, my bride-to-be," he murmured, leaning close to press a gentle kiss to my cheek.
"Stop calling me that," I whispered, fighting against the way his cologne seemed to cloud my thoughts.
"Whatever you prefer, darling," he responded, that maddeningly attractive smile remaining firmly in place.
