A group of new people appeared aboard Wan'er's ship—a very strange group.
Blue skin, green skin, reddish-gray skin, semi-metallic bodies… and even a raccoon.
Diwen sat on the sofa, holding the adorable tree-like being Groot in her arms, while Karl sat beside her.
"I am Groot."
Groot widened his eyes and looked at Diwan.
With a motherly gaze, Diwen gently held Groot in her hands. "Your name is Groot, right? You're so cute!"
Karl suddenly leaned forward, snatched Groot from her hands, and gripped him tightly. Staring at him, he said, "If you dare get close to my girlfriend again, I'll burn you into firewood!"
"I used to think you were a kind person, but after what you just said, I really feel like knocking your teeth out."
Rocket stepped forward, trying to take Groot back, but Karl didn't let him succeed. In short—stay away from Diwen.
Diwu looked at him with disgust. "What are you even jealous of? He's just too cute."
Cute is a sin.
Karl grew even more annoyed with Groot.
Looking at this strange group, Quill secretly glanced at Diwen beside him. Nebula and Gamora—one leaning against the wall, the other standing by it. Kraglin also sneaked a glance at Diwen. Drax stood with his hands on his chest, looking indifferent, while Mantis fidgeted with her fingers.
Yondu was still unconscious. Rocket Raccoon looked around, always thinking about what he could do. Groot sat on Rocket's shoulder, blinking his big innocent eyes as he observed everything.
Quill straightened his clothes, glanced at Gamora, then asked Diwu seriously, "Thanks for saving us, but… where are you from?"
Quill had been airborne for a long time. The ship was enormous, and the beam of light had separated him and Yondu, sending them to different places. By the time he returned carrying the unconscious Yondu, Kraglin had already piloted the ship near the Ravagers' vessel.
Diwen glanced at Karl, then introduced, "My name is Diwen. This is my boyfriend, Karl. We're from Earth."
"I'm from Earth too!"
Quill looked excited, then sighed as he looked around. "How did you capture a Kree warship? This thing is huge!"
Diwen looked at Karl, signaling him to explain. She didn't know much about the Kree invasion—only some general details.
Karl understood. "Some guy brought the Reality Stone to Earth and wanted to do something. He looked annoying, so I killed him. And no one wanted the ship, so we took it."
"The Reality Stone?"
Everyone stared at Karl in shock.
"Hahahaha—"
Rocket burst out laughing, nearly doubling over. "Come on, you're the biggest liar I've ever met. I should learn from you!"
Karl raised an eyebrow but said nothing.
Diwen smiled at Rocket. "I don't know your name. This is my first time seeing a talking raccoon."
"He's a puppy. I like him," Mantis said, playing with her fingers.
"Hahahahaha—" Drax laughed loudly.
"Shut up! My name is Rocket! Call me anything else again and I'll smash your mouths with my gun!" Rocket shouted angrily, pointing at everyone.
Quill gave Diwu an apologetic smile, then walked over to Rocket. "Hey, Rocket. They saved our lives. Try to behave a little."
Rocket shoved him aside impatiently. "That's your savior, not mine! They insulted me. You should be on my side. We could take their ship and do bigger business in the galaxy!"
"Oh?"
Karl let out a cold laugh, walked over, bent down, and picked Rocket up. "On Earth, there are countless ways to cook you. Do you want to be stewed or roasted?"
"No, no, no! Don't do that! He doesn't taste good—we need to live in peace!"
Quill grabbed Karl's hand, trying to stop him.
Rocket struggled in Karl's grip, shouting, "Put me down! You don't want to see me when I'm angry!"
"Alright, stop causing trouble," Diwen said, pulling Karl's arm. "This ship is too big. It's boring for just the two of us. Let them stay."
Karl obediently tossed Rocket aside and walked back to the sofa.
"Fine. But if they try anything, don't stop me."
Diwen nodded.
Diwu looked at the group and drew a portal in the air. "Come with me. I'll show you where you'll be staying. There are rooms here—but you'll have to figure out food yourselves."
"What is that? People on Earth don't have magic like this," Quill said in amazement, staring at the portal.
The others also looked at her, surprised. They had assumed this woman was ordinary—but clearly, they were wrong.
These two are not simple.
Everyone silently came to the same conclusion.
They followed her through the portal and arrived in what used to be a residential district. The buildings were about ten stories tall, filled with all kinds of food—though all of it was alien cuisine. Diwen didn't dare eat any of it, so she stayed behind.
"This place is great. I haven't lived in a proper house in ages," Quill said, looking around.
Gamora asked Diwen, "Where are you going?"
Diwen shook her head. "Nowhere specific. Karl and I are just traveling—seeing different places. You're the first aliens we've met."
Drax said, "Your boyfriend is like a god. His muscles and physique are perfect. I like that kind of man."
Quill stared at him in disbelief. "What? My body's great too—"
"Please. You're one bite away from being fat," Rocket interrupted.
Gamora nodded. "You should lose some weight."
Quill looked shocked. "What? Can't you see my muscles?"
Nebula said calmly, "You should cut fat."
"Fine!" Quill rolled his eyes. "There should be dumbbells here. I'm starting a workout plan."
"You planning to eat the dumbbells?" Rocket mocked.
Diwu smiled. "If you need anything, come find us. I'll head back now."
Leaving behind a group still captivated by her smile, Diwen stepped through the portal and left.
"She's really beautiful," Quill sighed.
Rocket pouted. "It's just that her boyfriend is annoying. Maybe she has bad eyesight to like a guy like him."
"Alright, we should find rooms and rest. That fight wasn't easy," Gamora said, interrupting them.
Drax added, "I think that man is blind. That woman isn't attractive—too soft-looking. He should find someone with a thicker waist."
"Your taste really amazes me. I bet your girlfriend matches it perfectly," Rocket said, walking off to pick a room.
"Hahaha—" Drax laughed happily, fully agreeing.
Nebula glanced at the others. "I can't believe this group came together. I suppose I should find a room too."
Gamora stopped her before she left. "I've never considered your feelings before. There are too many people like you in this universe… I want to make up for it. Join us. We can do more together."
Nebula stared at her for a long moment. "I'll help those who suffered like me… by killing Thanos."
Gamora said, "I don't know if we'll succeed. But together, we have a much better chance than you alone."
