I just started my new original fanfic. No translation. Its about a guy transmigrating to Bleach, but with Sinbad´s powers from magi. Definitely go check it out guys ! :)
Having laid it all bare, Ooka Shin waited for Nagato's response. He felt like a prisoner awaiting a judge's final verdict.
Hope, anxiety, helplessness, and a trace of complete daze swirled in his chest.
Of course, Ooka Shin wasn't genuinely terrified.
The worst-case scenario was simply being expelled from the group. He hadn't committed any actual crimes, and given the gentle personalities of Yahiko and the others, they wouldn't actually harm him.
Nagato's answer, however, completely shattered Ooka Shin's expectations.
"If you ever need the Rinnegan, just tell me. Any time."
Without waiting for a response or asking a single follow-up question, Nagato simply turned and coolly walked away.
Hearing that unconditional answer and watching his departing back, Ooka Shin felt a sudden, heavy lump in his throat.
Is this what it feels like to be completely trusted?
It really is... so warm.
Snapping back to his senses, Ooka Shin vigorously shook his head and cursed under his breath.
"Crap, why am I having such embarrassing, chuunibyou thoughts? Have I been in the Naruto world so long that I'm actually getting assimilated by it?!"
Carrying the weight of his own self-doubt, Ooka Shin left the training ground.
The area was quiet for only a brief moment before three figures melted out of the shadows: Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan.
Grinning with the sheer joy of a successful prank, Yahiko clapped Nagato on the shoulder.
"Not bad, Nagato! Your acting was flawless; those rehearsals definitely paid off. You completely fooled Shin. Hahaha, did you see his anxious expression? Absolutely priceless."
Konan covered her mouth, her eyes crinkling with a smile. "If he knew the truth, he would be absolutely furious. He might even go on strike."
Yahiko waved his hand dismissively. "Let him! It's fine, he can't beat us in a fight anyway. Besides, he's just a brat. He's younger than all of us, yet he lectures us every single day. He's way too arrogant! Giving him a little scare will remind him who the boss is."
Nagato, however, remained serious. "I could feel Shin's sincerity just now. He is a very reliable comrade. Honestly, Kyusuke was being far too paranoid by doubting him."
Thinking of the constant friction between Kyusuke and Shin, Yahiko felt a headache coming on.
"Forget it. They are both reliable comrades. As long as it doesn't fracture our overall unity, let them bicker all they want."
Konan gave Yahiko a pointed look. "It's entirely because you, our fearless leader, act so unreliable every day that Kyusuke thinks you're easily manipulated."
Yahiko was left completely speechless, forcing out an awkward laugh to save face.
The sky above the Hidden Rain grew dark.
Under that exact same sky, miles away, Ooka Shin was enjoying a peaceful late-night snack. Mishu, on the other hand, was running for his absolute life.
Staring down the Konoha shinobi blocking his path, Mishu's mind raced at lightspeed as he established a few grim facts.
First, he had to break through immediately. Death wasn't the worst outcome here; being captured alive was. If the Konoha forces took him in, they would simply extract the secrets from his brain using the Yamanaka Clan's secret jutsu.
After all, while he possessed the chakra of the One-Tails Jinchuriki, he didn't actually have Shukaku sealed inside him. He had no internal defenses against a mind invasion.
If they breached his mind, the identities of all four transmigrators would be exposed.
Second, he had absolutely no way to warn Chisuke. At this very moment, Chisuke was still sprinting toward their rendezvous point, happily rushing straight into a death trap.
Finally... well, he hadn't figured out a third point yet.
Should I... just kill myself right now?
During their last disastrous encounter with the Cloud ninja, Kiichiro had preserved some of Mishu's biological tissue. If Kiichiro managed to master the Edo Tensei, he could technically resurrect Mishu later.
But trusting those unreliable alt-accounts to master a forbidden jutsu was a massive gamble.
It was better to rely on himself.
"After all, with great power comes great responsibility!" Mishu muttered.
His fighting spirit artificially bolstered, Mishu cast Shadow Clone Jutsu once more and scattered into the night!
Even though he constantly complained about Chisuke's stupidity, Mishu consciously veered his escape route away from his partner's trajectory. He refused to lead the Konoha hounds to his friend.
That idiot Chisuke... I just hope he manages to escape with his life.
"Send the signal! This is the target's original body!" Nara Shikaku barked.
Shikaku led the immediate pursuit while the surrounding Konoha forces rapidly closed the net. As soon as Mishu's clones popped into existence, they were ruthlessly crushed.
Shadows slithered across the ground. Insects buzzed ominously in the sky. Senbon and shuriken rained down from impossible angles, accompanied by a barrage of elemental ninjutsu.
Mishu was drowning in attacks, and the encirclement was tightening by the second.
Not enough, not enough, I don't have enough time!
His only goal right now was to stall until their scheduled meeting in the dream world.
If he didn't show up, Chisuke and the others would immediately realize something was wrong. Chisuke could then alter his route in time to bypass the Konoha blockade.
"Use ninjutsu to hold them back!" Mishu ordered.
"Understood!"
His newly spawned clones immediately fell into formation, their hands blurring through hand seals in perfect synchronization.
"Sand Release: Flowing Sand Waterfall!"
The surrounding forest floor instantly transmuted into a violent, expanding desert. The surging sand waves spread in all directions, forcibly halting the Konoha advance.
Nara Shikaku casually dispatched a clone with his shadow, but his eyes narrowed in surprise.
This guy has spawned dozens of Shadow Clones, and every single one possesses a massive volume of chakra. Is he some kind of monster?
Rather than deter him, this only hardened Shikaku's resolve to take the target alive.
A ninja with reserves this deep had to be a high-ranking Sand operative. Capturing him would yield unprecedented intelligence for the war effort.
Capitalizing on the chaos his clones created, Mishu temporarily broke the line of sight. He didn't dare slow down, pushing his legs to their absolute limit.
There's a dense forest ahead. The terrain will limit their mobility and buy me some breathing room.
But just as his foot touched the tree line, the ground beneath him felt incredibly wrong.
Mishu threw himself backward on pure instinct.
A localized earthquake erupted as a dense, suffocating cloud of black insects burst from the soil, instantly overwhelming him.
"Secret Technique: Insect Sphere."
A calm voice echoed from the shadows. "Do not worry. I have no intention of killing you. Once my insects have drained your chakra reserves dry, I will spare your life."
Aburame Shibi stepped slowly out of the dark woods, the giant insect jar strapped to his back humming with malice.
As a master insect tamer, Shibi had mapped Mishu's frantic movements miles in advance. He had simply calculated the optimal interception point and waited.
After a few tense moments, Shibi commanded the swarm to disperse.
Mishu lay completely motionless on the forest floor.
Shibi stepped closer, but his brow suddenly furrowed behind his dark glasses. Deep cracks spiderwebbed across Mishu's skin before the entire body collapsed into a lifeless pile of sand.
"A Sand Clone armor to resist the insects' gnawing... clever."
Shibi wasn't disappointed. The target couldn't have gone far, and the swarm was already scattering to bring back fresh coordinates.
A mile north of Shibi's position, the real Mishu clawed his way out of the dirt, gasping for air. He oriented himself and kept sprinting north.
Ten minutes later, his luck finally ran out.
A fresh squad of Konoha shinobi blocked his path, led by a towering figure. Guided by Shibi's insects, Akimichi Choza had successfully cut off his escape.
Without a word of warning, Choza launched his assault.
"Human Bullet Tank!"
Rumble!
Choza expanded into a massive, crushing boulder of flesh and chakra, accelerating toward Mishu with terrifying momentum.
Damn it!
Mishu dove hard to the side. The Human Bullet Tank slammed into the earth where he had just stood, excavating a massive crater and sending shockwaves of dirt into the air.
Using the recoil, Choza bounced high into the air, instantly correcting his trajectory to crush Mishu.
Meanwhile, the supporting Konoha ninja fanned out to seal the perimeter.
"Earth Release: Earth Flow Wall!"
Burning through a massive chunk of chakra, Mishu slammed his hands onto the ground. A towering wall of solid rock erupted in front of him, shielding him from the Konoha squad.
Boom!
Choza's Human Bullet Tank shattered the stone wall like glass.
Deactivating his jutsu, Choza stood up in the settling dust, only to find the area completely empty. Mishu had vanished once again.
However, a faint buzzing broke the silence. A cluster of Aburame insects fluttered in front of Choza, performing a complex dance to point the way.
Choza smirked. "Follow the swarm! Don't let him rest!"
