Logan hung up the call.
"Logan, if the calls are still working, maybe Internet is also working, please check the NEWS." Julia wanted to see what has become of the world, she was so worried about her husband she wanted to keep her mind off it.
"Yeah, let me check" Logan quickly sat on his chair and pulled up some news live stream.
As soon as the video started, they saw how bad the situation really was.
"Please stay inside and be safe, outside is really not safe, the government confirms it is not a conspiracy theory, the graphics you are seeing on your screen are not AI." News anchor talked about the safety of people.
"Oh my God" Julia gasped, as the video showed of hundreds of zombies running around on roads eating any living being they encountered.
"We still don't know what was the ground zero of this virus but this is really an apocalypse, the military has been ordered to keep the dead in control but the opposing forces have overwhelmed them. If you get in contact with this deadly virus, via blood, you will turn into the walking dead. Stay safe, stay indoors. Communications will be down soon, call your loved ones, as you might not get another chance." News anchor continued speaking so much truth they might not have spoken in their entire careers up until now.
As Logan and Julia watched the stream someone cried out in the street, their screams were really unbearable.
Logan stood up from chair to check what was really happening but Julia clung to her tightly, she was sacred, her husband had been gone for so long and there was no way to know if he might even be alive.
"Logan, please don't go" Julia cried in Logan's arms.
"it's okay Julia, I'm here" Logan wrapped his arms around Julia to give her comfort.
They were so tightly pressed into each other and Julia could feel Logan's erection that came out of nowhere. Logan was a healthy young man whose body got aroused just like a normal man's body would.
Julia was so scared and stressed out she didn't care about what was wrong or what's not, she felt safe in Logan's arms and she stayed tightly pressed to him even though her body made Logan's erection press harder against her lower stomach.
Logan had no choice but to comfort Julia, he knew how his body had been reacting to her touch, Julia was older than his own mother, and to think Logan was getting aroused by an older woman, he didn't know he could feel that way for an older lady like her.
All his past relationships were with girls his own age, he had never thought, a situation like this would ever appear in front of him.
Just like every other guy his own age, he watched porn and watching porn about older woman was not something unheard of for the younger guys like him.
As Logan and Julia were tightly pressed against each other, they heard a commotion outside his room.
"Who the hell locked this door?", a rough voice came.
Logan realized the guy outside was talking about the padlock he had put on the main door, it was necessary to keep the building safe.
Julia realized it was something important and loosened her grip on the Logan.
Both of them quickly rushed outside to see what was really happening.
As they reached the main door, they saw a huge guy in a black tank top and shorts were standing at the door, padlock in his hand, he looked eager to get out of building.
"Hey, I put the lock on that door." Logan said.
"Give me the fucking key, my brother is outside, I need to go find him.", The guy yelled.
"I don't think that's a good idea, just look down the street, it's swarming with zombies." Logan said keeping his calm.
"Don't teach me shit , kid, just open the damn door." He yelled and kicked the door.
The noise attracted the zombies and they started gathering outside the main door.
"Keep your voice low, noise attracts them." Logan said trying to keep the big guy calm down.
Logan has seen many shows and movies about zombies to know, guys like him really don't get along with anyone and put the whole group at risk just because they have a big ego, and think they are better than everyone else.
"Just give me the goddamn key" Guy yelled and charged towards Logan and punched him in the face.
Logan was lean and weak, he had stayed all his life inside his room, he didn't go to gym, he never pursued any outdoor sport, it was obvious he didn't have any experience in street fights, on the other hand, the big guy looked like he spent half his life in gym bench pressing weight more than Logan's.
Logan fell back, Julia came quickly to him, making sure he was okay.
"Logan, are you okay?" Julia put his head in her arms while sitting on floor. "Hey, you didn't have to punch him, what he said was right, the padlock is for our own safety."
"Cut the bullshit, bitch, give me the fucking key" Guy approached them, anger in his eyes.
Logan wasn't unconscious, he was just dizzy after that punch, he wanted to make that guy stop but what he could do? He had the system which weren't doing him any favor right now.
He thought about the system in that moment and window hovered before him.
But it was useless, he needed a dead body to even make use of his system and even if he had a dead zombie under his command, he was sure the guy in front of him could rip the zombie in half with his bare hands. He felt useless.
As the guy was approaching Logan and Julia, maybe to finish what he started, a hammer came flying towards that guy's head and hit him on the side making him fall back, blood gushed out where hammer stuck him.
Somebody threw that hammer.
Logan and Julia quickly looked at the opposite direction.
