Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Prenuptial agreement

Chapter 7: Prenuptial agreement

These things should have been discussed before the wedding. Adding money at the last minute is a major taboo at weddings.

Clearly, the Sen Family didn't take Jerry seriously at all, which is why he was embarrassed in front of so many relatives and friends.

Jerry looked calmly at Lele's father, then glanced at Lele in the car with a cold expression, a mocking sneer curling at the corner of his mouth.

Seeing that Jerry did not react, Lele's father said in a harsher tone: "Jerry, as my future son-in-law, I don't want things to get too ugly."

"You have to sign this prenuptial agreement. If you don't, Lele will never get off the bus."

Lele's mother said gently, "Jerry, you are a very qualified husband. My daughter just wants some security after marriage, which is why she asked you to sign this prenuptial agreement. You won't refuse to sign it, will you?"

Jerry laughed. One was playing the good cop, and the other the bad cop, both trying to force him to sign a prenuptial agreement.

Seeing this, everyone thought that Jerry would definitely sign it obediently.

Jerry's obsession with Lele is well-known.

With just a word from Lele, Jerry could disregard important company meetings and crucial collaborations, and immediately rush to her side.

When the Sen Group encountered some trouble, he was the one who stepped in to help.

Even when Lele's younger brother got into a fight, it was only after Jerry personally went to the school and donated a laboratory that the problem was resolved.

Unexpectedly, Jerry smiled faintly: "Why don't you read the contents of the prenuptial agreement aloud so that everyone can hear how your family is demanding things from me?"

Mr. and Mrs. Lele exchanged a glance, their faces both looking very grim.

'If we read it aloud, wouldn't that let everyone know that the Sen Family is insatiably greedy?'

At this moment, Lele gritted her teeth and said, word by word, "You want to hear it, right? Fine, I'll read it to you."

"Jerry, I'm so outstanding. If you want to marry me, this is all you should do."

After saying that, she read out as a matter of course: "First, the bride price should be 100 million yuan and 10% of the shares of JM Group."

"Second, you must give me one million yuan in pocket money every month after we get married."

"Third, after marriage, you must listen to me in everything. Without my permission, you cannot even touch me."

"These three requirements are already very low. If you really love me, you should be happy to accept them."

After saying that, she coldly raised her head, as if that was all she was worth.

But the scene erupted in chaos.

Isn't that asking too much?

How dare a mere Girl make such a demand?

Although this amount of money wasn't particularly large for Jerry, Lele didn't deserve it.

Everyone was looking at Jerry.

Given his previous sycophantic behavior, most people thought he would obediently agree.

Jacob urged, "Brother Jerry, just sign it. Sister Lele has entrusted her entire life's happiness to you. Are you not even willing to pay this small price?"

"If I had as much money as you, I wouldn't hesitate at all."

Seeing this, everyone looked at Jacob speechlessly. He has little money and no skills, but he's got a lot of bravado.

But the older sisters praised it highly.

"Look at you, so cowardly. Why don't you learn from Jacob?"

"Look how manly Jacob is."

"It's just money, isn't it? You have so much money, why would you need this little bit?"

Robert angrily said, "Sign it quickly, don't lose face in front of so many people, otherwise others will think that my Miller Family can't afford this money."

Jerry glanced at Robert, smiled, and said, "How about we give Lele the shares you and sisters own?"

"Consider this your wedding gift to me."

Upon hearing this, Robert and the others fell silent, furious.

Lele screamed, "Jerry, you're so rich, would it kill you to give me a little?"

"Let me tell you, I'm so outstanding, there are plenty of young masters from big families who would want me. Don't think you're so great just because you own JM Group."

"I'm not going to marry you if you don't sign today."

There was silence.

Only the colorful flags fluttered in the air, as if mocking Jerry.

"I can sign, but only after the wedding is successfully held," Jerry said.

These words were met with gasps of surprise from the audience. Do they even agree to these conditions?

Jerry is such a simp!

[A/N: Simp : Excessive affection, attention, and submission toward One]

Lele and her parents were immediately delighted.

But Lele remained cold and said, "What's the difference between signing now and signing after the wedding?"

"You're not trying to lie to me, are you?"

Lele's Father frowned, signaling Lele to stop while she was ahead.

Lele, however, felt that Jerry was still the same sycophant who had to obey her every command, and coldly said, "Sign it, hurry up."

Jerry laughed, a chilling laugh, and raised his voice: "Lele, I've already given you plenty of face. Now I'll give you ten seconds, or you'll obediently come down."

…..

"Then... let's not have the wedding." His voice wasn't loud, but it was deafening.

Whispers rippled through the crowd, their faces filled with astonishment.

Jerry actually dared to say such a thing. Lele's face turned extremely ugly as she stared intently at Jerry.

Jerry simply counted down calmly.

Seeing that things were not going well, Lele's parents quickly pulled Lele and urged her to get out of the car.

No one wanted Lele to marry Jerry more than they did.

Just as Jerry counted down to the last second.

Seeing that Jerry wasn't joking, and with Jacob's persistent hints, Lele panicked a little. Reluctantly, she got out of the car and said coquettishly, "I was just testing you, why are you taking it so seriously?"

"In some places, wedding pranks involve tying the groom to a tree and beating him."

Everyone burst into laughter, easing the awkwardness. Jerry gave a cold laugh, made no response, and turned to leave.

Every time Lele noticed that his attitude was off, she would give him a little something to sweeten his way so that he would continue to fawn over her.

This low-end fish-raising method, however, has captivated him to the point of obsession, making him willingly devote himself to it.

Next, the guests took their seats.

At this moment, a young man in his early twenties, dressed luxuriously and wearing a baseball cap, rushed up to Jerry aggressively, holding a bottle of liquor, and shouted, "Today is my sister's big day, how dare you bully her?"

"Don't you take me seriously?"

"Being able to marry my sister is a blessing you've accumulated over eight lifetimes."

"I'm warning you, if my sister is ever bullied in your Miller Family, my Sen Family will never forgive you."

Upon hearing this, the guests' expressions immediately turned ugly.

This is a complete disregard for Jerry's dignity; even Lele's younger brother dares to boss him around.

Lele's mother hurriedly stepped forward and grabbed him: "You're drunk, come with me."

"No need, my brother is right." Lele said proudly.

"My family needs to be a little assertive so they won't dare to bully me." Jerry raised an eyebrow. The person who came was Lele's younger brother, Tony Sen.

'Previously, I had extended my affection to him, treating him like a younger brother and always granting his requests. But instead of showing any gratitude, he ordered me around at will.'

He thought that because he liked Lele, he had to please him.

At this moment, Tony brought the wine bottle to Jerry's lips and said loudly, "I wasn't here just now, and you actually dared to bully my sister. I'll give you a chance to down this bottle in one gulp, or you can forget about marrying my sister today."

His hand was 80% full of liquor; if he downed it in one gulp, he'd probably lose his life.

Lele said smugly, "Aren't you going to drink it obediently? With my brother here, you better behave yourself."

The crowd erupted in uproar; this was far too humiliating for Jerry!

This was clearly intended to humiliate Jerry in front of his family and friends. Robert roared in anger, "You good-for-nothing! You're such a coward!"

The older sisters also berated Jerry, saying he had no manly spirit whatsoever. But Jerry smiled and said, "Lele, have I been too kind to you?"

Do you really think you're some kind of treasure?

"What do you mean?" Lele frowned and said angrily.

"What's wrong with you? I just asked you to drink some wine."

"It's nothing." Jerry smiled faintly and looked at everyone: "Actually, I invited you here today not to attend the wedding, but to witness a despicable couple."

"Please watch the video."

After that, a jaw-dropping scene appeared on the large central screen.
