(It's a Rewrite of my previous Fanfic Pokemon Rewrite: it's gonna be wild isn't it)

So, Ash Ketchum dies.

Rough, right? Rougher when you consider he was ten years old for ten entire years and never once questioned it.

Anyway. Two gods destroyed him over a stolen parfait. Arceus hit the reincarnate button. Ash wakes up in his childhood bedroom at eight years old — which is, somehow, younger than he's ever been.

There's a stranger's dressing table in the corner. A girl is leaning in the doorway informing him — very patiently — that yes, they're engaged. They had a whole conversation about it. He agreed to everything immediately. She found it suspicious at the time.

So to recap: Ash spent a decade being ten, became World Champion, got erased by divine incompetence, came back younger than he started, and now has a fiancée, no Pokémon, and ten years before he's even legally allowed to go on a journey.

He has never, in either life, caught a single break.

Can the world's greatest trainer outmanoeuvre destiny, rebuild his team from scratch, and survive his new life — all while being, for the first time ever, genuinely a child?
