Chapter 324 - Chapter 324 : Basic Technique

BOOOOOOM!

Under the astonished gazes of the two children, the ground before them compressed, and a deep, wide pit opened exactly where Leon had pointed his finger, as though the earth itself had responded to his command.

Then the water from the nearby river began rapidly flowing into the pit, gradually filling it and transforming it into a pool.

Madara and Hashirama's expressions changed into looks of profound shock. Their eyes widened, and they could barely blink as their minds struggled to process what they had just witnessed. They had already sensed that their teacher was powerful, but now they realized that they had underestimated him.

A mere gesture of his finger had been enough to produce such an effect, which meant that his true strength was far greater than they had imagined, and all the estimates they had made about him had been nothing more than completely inaccurate guesses.

Leon looked at them and saw the shock written across their faces, so he burst into loud laughter and said:

"What is it, you two? Did I scare you? Hahahaha! Don't worry, this was just a little demonstration, only to show you what true strength can accomplish when supported by a strong body. But don't be afraid, I won't ask you to do anything like this at the beginning."

He stopped laughing and looked at them with eyes carrying a hint of gentle challenge, then continued:

"It seems you underestimated me, and that's perfectly natural. You're still young, and you haven't seen much of the world yet. But now you know that there are levels of power you can't even imagine. And this is the first lesson you need to learn: there will always be someone stronger than you, and humility is the key to true learning."

Hashirama and Madara looked at him without saying anything. They simply smiled because they couldn't find words capable of expressing what they were feeling. Their smiles carried everything from astonishment to admiration, and from fear to ambition. They felt incredibly fortunate to have such a teacher in their lives.

"All right. Today will only be experimental. I'll guide you whenever you have the opportunity to come here, because your real training should be carried out on your own within your clans. I can't be with you all the time."

Hashirama thanked him in a voice filled with gratitude and bowed deeply with respect, as though offering all his appreciation to this man who was giving them his time and effort without asking for anything in return:

"Thank you, Sensei. We will never forget what you're doing for us. We'll work hard to live up to your expectations, and we'll prove to you that we deserve your time."

Madara followed his example, but his bow was less deep, and he said nothing. His movement was closer to a quick nod, as though he didn't want to show too much appreciation, despite feeling it deep down. Leon paid no attention to this and replied to them in a light, reassuring tone:

"I told you, you're not my students. I'm only going to guide you a little, so don't place too many expectations on me. Most of the work has to be done by the two of you. I'm only going to show you the direction; the rest is up to you."

The two children smiled at him in response, and he continued:

"All right, I'll explain my training plan to you. It will consist of three stages. The first is physical training focused on toughness and flexibility, and it is the most important part, because building a strong body requires time, effort, and perseverance. There are no shortcuts through this stage. You'll need to endure pain, surpass your limits, break through your mental barriers, and the further you progress in this training, the more capable your bodies will become of enduring advanced techniques. The body is the foundation, and a foundation isn't built in a single day."

He paused for a moment before continuing:

"The second part is training to deepen your chakra control. Chakra is the fuel behind all your techniques, and mastering its control means you'll be able to use it with the least amount of effort and the highest possible efficiency. Without this ability, your techniques will be wasteful and ineffective. Here, you must learn precision and patience, because chakra control doesn't come through force, but through calmness and concentration."

Then he stared at the two children, who were listening with intense attention to every word and engraving every syllable into their memories:

"As for the final part, I'll teach you a basic combat technique. But it isn't an ordinary technique. If you manage to master it and delve deeply into it, it may eventually develop into one of your strongest combat methods, because it is based on a principle that can be developed without limit."

Madara and Hashirama's expressions became absolutely serious after hearing Leon's words, and flashes of excitement and anticipation appeared in their eyes.

They were eager to learn this technique that seemed like a hidden treasure, and each secretly dreamed of becoming stronger than the other and mastering this technique well enough to gain the advantage. Each thought to himself:

"I'll be the one who masters it better."

They exchanged a quick glance filled with both challenge and friendship.
