It was already ten o'clock at night. Lin Jingjing told the others to go to bed, saying that she and Feng He would stand guard.
The three men nodded. After tidying up, they went into their tent.
The army-issued tents were great. They were spacious and sturdy, and were said to be able to withstand powerful typhoons.
They had set up two tents in total—one for the women, and one for the men.
The men had gone to bed, leaving the two women sitting before the campfire. The fire CRACKLED, and when Lin Jingjing noticed the flames dying down, she grabbed some nearby firewood and tossed it in.
In the wilderness, fire could ward off wild animals and prevent them from attacking.
"Want some fruit?" Lin Jingjing asked, taking out the wild fruit they had found earlier that day from her Space Ring and offering it to Feng He.
"Yes," Feng He said, taking it. She wiped it clean and began to eat.
"There probably won't be any beasts out tonight, right?" Feng He asked, scanning their surroundings.
