"Please, come in."
The two entered a side hall and took their respective seats as host and guest.
A Maid served fragrant tea, then silently withdrew.
Lan Yuexin picked up her teacup, took a light sip, and set it down. Her gaze fell upon Fang Han's face, her bright eyes holding a hint of solemnity.
"Mr. Fang Han, I have taken the liberty of visiting today because I have something to ask of you."
Fang Han set down his teacup and met Lan Yuexin's gaze.
"Please speak, Miss Yuexin."
Lan Yuexin fell silent for a moment, seemingly choosing her words carefully.
"The Hundred Treasures Pavilion wishes to align itself with the Qingxuan Sect."
Her voice was not loud, but every word was clear.
"I would like to ask you to plead our case and put in a good word for us with the Sect Leader."
Fang Han's hand, holding his teacup, paused for a fraction of a second, a flicker of surprise in his eyes.
