What kind of place was the Eighteen Layers of Hell?
It was a place where only those who had committed heinous, unpardonable crimes were thrown.
They would suffer endless torture without a single second of rest, unable to leave and reincarnate until their punishment was fully served.
Mountains of blades, seas of fire, and boiling oil cauldrons were merely the basic violent attractions of the eighteenth layer. There was also being torn apart by chariots, having bones crushed, limbs severed, chests ripped open...
In total, there were 108 different punishments.
For example, an evildoer who committed rape and murder would be spread-eagled and tied up by a yin messenger. A saw would then slice through them, starting from the crotch all the way up to the head.
Each sawing session required 365 back-and-forth motions until the punished fierce ghost was cut completely in half.
