"What a cute little fellow," Pei Ye said, a cigarette dangling from her lips.
Ah Zai on the screen understood her words. It seemed to shrink back shyly, and the color of its eggshell honestly darkened. At this moment, a small, chibi-style box popped up on the game interface.
Pei Ye glanced at the [System Record].
[Ah Zai is very happy.]
[Ah Zai went to the Mall and pulled out a shopping cart.]
[Ah Zai used 25 Merit earned from working to buy Dad a pack of XX hard-pack cigarettes.]
Pei Ye paused. She checked the records and found that Ah Zai had earned 35 Merit Points from working outside for two hours. Its original plan was to spend 10 Merit Points on a bow tie and save the rest to buy new clothes. But in the end... Hmm... it bought cigarettes for her instead. She felt this little fellow was getting cuter by the minute.
Pei Ye poked the pack of cigarettes. The System prompted that the cigarettes had been placed in her Game Package and could be taken out at any time.
