Most of what Fang Shuwen said was speculation. He had no direct evidence.
But there were far too many strange things about the attack on Tingtiao Pavilion by Saint Mother Chaoyin's people.
The timing was too perfect.
And they had sent too few people.
To deal with someone like Suhe Zhen, it would only have been logical for Saint Mother Chaoyin to handle it herself.
But instead, she had sent a handful of nobodies, and they had been surprisingly vicious.
They set fires everywhere, even burning down Tingtiao Pavilion's ancestral hall. They came as if prepared for a fight to the death, yet they lacked the ability to actually annihilate their enemy.
If Suhe Zhen had managed to kill them, Saint Mother Chaoyin would have been implicated.
