Gu Lin grew thoughtful and glanced at the Silver Moon Elves.
Annie hadn't bothered to lower her voice, so they all heard her clearly.
Despite their best efforts to hide it, the expressions of one or two of them shifted slightly. She had clearly hit the mark.
Seeing this, Gu Lin understood.
"What do you plan to do with them?" Gu Lin asked.
Annie didn't even look up. "They're just a few harmless little things. Let them go."
Gu Lin hesitated. "What about the Silver Moon Elf Goddess..."
"Shahani's target is Rose, and I only want some of Ropar's body tissue. Our goals don't conflict, so there's no need to pay her any mind."
In truth, there was something else Annie left unsaid: Shahani's involvement wasn't necessarily a bad thing for her.
She wanted to seize Ropar's body, which was tantamount to snatching food from a tiger's mouth—a direct confrontation with Rose was inevitable.
