Life began to move quickly after the wedding. Three days later, Matteo's mother prepared to return abroad. To everyone's relief, Maxwell decided to go back with her, not because his relationship was forbidden anymore, but because he wanted to be there for his mother and help take care of her and her business overseas. He was still free to return to Central City whenever he wished.
Before leaving, Maxwell met with James. They sat together and talked about how they would manage their relationship while they were apart. Maxwell promised to fly back and visit James regularly, and he also invited James to come and stay with him abroad whenever he wanted. For now, they agreed to visit each other, while James took his time deciding whether he would eventually move abroad with Maxwell or remain in Central City.
After saying their goodbyes, Matteo's mother and Maxwell flew back abroad.
