Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 The Awakening Of The Flame

Chapter 2: The Awakening Of The Flame

Arthur slowly lifted his hand.

"Remove his blindfold."

The command was calm — but absolute.

His cult members obeyed instantly.

As the cloth slipped from Agni's eyes, cold wind brushed against his face.

And then—

He saw it.

His breath stopped.

Before him stretched a vast field of shattered stone and broken pillars beneath a dark crimson sky. Ancient scorch marks stained the ground like wounds that never healed.

The air itself felt heavy… like it remembered pain.

"This…" Agni whispered, his voice trembling. "Where are we?"

Arthur stepped forward, his boots crunching over burnt rubble.

"This," he said quietly, "is the Ruins of Crimson."

"The very place where Rudy betrayed Dev."

A distant rumble echoed through the silent ruins.

"This is where the heroes sealed him."

Agni felt something strange inside his chest — not fear, not heat…

Recognition.

"But why am I here?"

Arthur's lips curved into a faint smile.

"It was the final wish of our sacrifice… to see you."

"And since she must offer herself willingly," he continued, his voice now colder, "we must fulfill that wish."

"Without it, we cannot break her will."

"And without breaking her will… she cannot sacrifice herself."

He looked directly into Agni's eyes.

"That is why you are still alive."

A pause.

"Otherwise… you would already be dead."

Arthur turned.

"Bring the sacrifice."

For a brief moment, Agni didn't understand.

Then—

His heart skipped.

Ashmita was gone.

Panic surged through him.

When the cult members returned…

They were dragging someone across the cracked stone.

Bound.

Weak.

Barely conscious.

Agni's world collapsed.

"Ashmita…"

Arthur spoke again, his voice echoing across the ruins.

"She is the last descendant of Pranay."

"To break Rudy's seal… we require her blood."

A chilling silence followed.

"And her head."

Chains wrapped around Agni once more, tightening like fate itself.

He struggled desperately.

If he could just break free—

He could save her.

But fate had already taken his family.

And now…

It was taking the one person who helped him live again.

The one person he never got to tell how he felt.

Arthur began the hypnotic ritual.

Ancient symbols glowed beneath Ashmita.

Once.

Twice.

Three times.

Four.

Five.

Each time — she resisted.

Her breathing was weak…

But her will stood unbroken.

After all…

The blood of Pranay flowed within her.

Frustration twisted Arthur's face.

In anger, he struck her.

Then stepped closer — intending to shatter her resolve through humiliation and fear.

Agni hung helplessly before them.

And in that moment—

Something ancient stirred within him.

Heat spread across the ruins.

Dust began to rise.

The air shimmered.

A scorching wave of energy pulsed outward.

The temperature rose rapidly — stones cracked under the pressure.

The chains binding Agni began to glow…

Then melt.

Arthur stepped back — intrigued.

Flames from broken torches… from ancient cracks in the land…

Even from the air itself—

Drifted toward Agni.

Drawn to him.

Wrapping around him like loyal servants returning to their king.

Arthur smirked.

"So… he has awakened the Fire Element."

With a wave of his hand, he summoned over a hundred undead creatures — their hollow eyes glowing faintly in the darkness.

"If he is distracted… I am free."

But before they could move—

They burned.

Reduced to ash in a single breath.

Silence fell.

Arthur felt it.

A pressure.

Ancient.

Heavy.

The flames around Agni slowed…

Stilled…

Then changed.

From raging red—

To deep…

Royal…

Blue.....

To be continued.....
