Chapter 1 - Unnamed

"The Boy Who Played in the Rain"

On a small dusty field at the edge of a quiet village, there was a boy named Arman.

Every evening, when the sky turned orange and the birds flew home, Arman would run to the field with a broken bat and a taped tennis ball. He didn't have proper shoes. He didn't have a coach.

But he had a dream.

While other children went home when it started raining, Arman stayed.

He loved the rain.

Because when it rained, no one laughed at him.

You see, Arman wasn't very good at cricket. He missed catches. He got bowled out easily. The older boys would say,

"Go home, Arman. This game isn't for you."

But the rain didn't judge him.

The rain didn't laugh.

One evening, during a heavy storm, an old man stopped near the field. He watched Arman batting alone, soaked, determined, swinging again and again even after missing the ball.

The old man stepped closer and said,

"Why do you keep playing when you keep failing?"

Arman looked up, water dripping from his hair, and smiled.

"Because one day, I won't fail."

The old man smiled back.

The next day, the old man returned — with a real cricket bat.

His name was Mr. Rahman. He was once a district-level coach who had retired years ago. And for the first time in years, he saw something special — not talent, but hunger.

From that day, training began.

Early mornings.

Blisters on hands.

Tears after losses.

Silence after mistakes.

Years passed.

The same village field where Arman was once laughed at was now filled with cheers. Posters with his face hung on walls.

And one bright afternoon, under a clear blue sky, Arman walked onto a massive stadium field — wearing the national jersey.

As the crowd roared, it suddenly began to rain.

Arman closed his eyes for a moment.

He smiled.

Because the rain was no longer hiding him.

It was celebrating him.

And somewhere in the crowd, an old man clapped slowly, proudly.

Moral:

Sometimes the world laughs at your beginning.

But if you keep going, one day it will clap for your courage.

.THANK YOU.
