Arthur tapped the screen of the mobile phone in his hand and opened the first app, labeled **"Attribute Panel"**.
Immediately, the screen displayed the following stats:
- **Strength**: 1 attribute point
- **Body**: 1 attribute point
- **Spirit**: 1 attribute point
- **Speed**: 1 attribute point
**Current available attribute points**: (0)
A strange note then appeared below the stats:
"To obtain attribute points, you must wait one full day to receive one attribute point. You cannot allocate any points unless you possess four attribute points."
Arthur read the note with a sense of despair—he would have to wait four days just to be able to add any points at all. The note vanished, and a new one appeared in its place:
"**Strength** represents your current physical power. One point in Strength grants you 100 kilograms of force.
**Body** represents your defense and endurance.
**Spirit** governs your five senses, perception, understanding, and overall spiritual strength.
**Speed** allows you to accelerate your body according to your thoughts and movements.
You must gather four attribute points before you can perfectly control your body upon allocation. When each attribute reaches 100 points, you will break through your body's limits—that is, unlock your first Gene Lock. At that moment, Strength, Body, Spirit, and Speed will each multiply by ten. In short, one point in Strength will then equal 1 ton of force, and the same applies to the others."
A wave of joy washed over Arthur as he read this new explanation, imagining himself breaking through his bodily limits and unlocking that first Gene Lock. Excitement surged through him at the thought of becoming vastly stronger, capable of facing the dangers of Teyvat with far greater confidence.
But suddenly a pang of frustration hit him: to break his limits and unlock the first Gene Lock, he would need to wait a staggering 400 days. Arthur let out a deep sigh, trying to calm himself, and murmured inwardly:
"It's fine. Patience is the key to relief. I'll take it one step at a time."
He exited the first app and tapped the second one: **"World Language Comprehension"**.
After opening it, only two options appeared:
"Activate World Language"
"Deactivate World Language"
A note followed:
"Allows you to understand the languages and mysterious texts of this world—except for the language of monsters that lack a spirit or are corrupted by strange energy from beyond this world."
Once Arthur finished reading, excitement bubbled up inside him.
"I no longer need to learn other languages—I can understand and speak them however I want!"
A great sense of relief washed over him as he recalled how much he had struggled with foreign languages in his previous world. Still, he felt a twinge of regret that—for some reason—he couldn't comprehend the speech of Hilichurls or other monsters in this world. He decided he would search for a way to overcome that limitation in the future.
He closed that app and moved on to the third: **"Storage"**.
Upon opening it, Arthur felt an immense black void stretch out before him. A note appeared on the screen:
"You can store physical objects in this app's space. Living beings cannot be stored here.
The current storage space is approximately 100 square meters, but this area will increase as you break through your bodily limits (i.e., unlock your first Gene Lock).
Time has no effect on items stored inside—they remain exactly as they were when you placed them."
Arthur was overjoyed with this app. Now he could safely preserve his food without worrying about theft or spoilage. In the dangerous world of Teyvat, he felt much more secure knowing he could carry large amounts of resources without the burden of weight.
He fetched an apple he had received from work. With a mere thought, the apple vanished into the storage space. He watched it float in the void, then—with another thought—it reappeared in his right hand. Arthur smiled in amazement at how effortless it was.
"This is going to be incredibly useful on my future journeys," he said to himself.
Finally, his gaze fell on the fourth app. His heart raced with anticipation as he looked at its name—**"Master of the Small World"**—and decided to tap it. Curiosity burned inside him; after everything he had seen in the previous apps, he couldn't wait to discover what extraordinary possibilities this one might hold.
