Not wasting his time, Mark hurriedly took the crossbow, which now had fallen to the ground. There was still one arrow lodged on it, as he next checked all of their bodies from top to bottom to find nothing on them.
Not finding this surprising, he pulled his knives out of dead people's eyes, turned around, and started running far away from the location where the fight had happened, not wanting to take any risk.
Even though he did not see any of the red dots closer to him, that didn't mean there existed no other being in his vicinity.
Grabbing the branch which is at a greater height, Mark got up to the higher end of the tree, making sure that he was hidden and could see everything easily in all directions.
Next, he pulled two cooked fishes out of his space and started eating them, replenishing his hunger and thirst.
The fishes were tasty and warm, even the blood, which should disgust him, made him relish them, tasting juicy and delicious as if someone had just prepared a steak for him, making him chew each and every piece for longer than usual.
While he ate, he looked at his other targets, and this time, instead of going for a group, he chose to go for a lone person.
Groups were a little difficult for him to kill, too many complications, too much thinking, so he chose easy prey first, according to his plan.

It took three minutes for Mark to reach his destination. Seeing him come, of course, the other person ran, but it only made Mark run even faster to hunt him.
It somewhat even excited him, making him laugh at himself. From an innocent boy to a murderer, it took some irrelevant months and a forest.
Correction, a supernatural forest where supernatural beings existed. It was all absurd but true, and the truer it was, the absurd it felt to him.
As again something surprising happened, making Mark stop in his tracks. The red dot, which was as red as blood, suddenly vanished, telling him that his prey was dead.

What made Mark startled was the silence that had filled this side of the forest all of a sudden, the moment the red dot disappeared, it was as if all the beings in the forest were afraid, as if something horrendous was about to happen.
A chill crawled down Mark's spine as he felt danger all over him; it was as if someone was spying on him, or something, but there was no one in his sight, none whatsoever.
Now that his agility had crossed 20 points, somehow his senses had also become faster and keener, but no, there was nothing in his vicinity. He was 100% sure of that.
But his killer instinct was telling him that there was a predator somewhere near him, and that predator was an apex predator, who stood at the top of the food chain in this forest.
When suddenly, Mark saw his shadow moving. He wasn't moving, but he saw his shadow moving, when suddenly a large claw came out of his shadow, and then a face of a beast, and the beast lunged at him, not giving him any chance, taking him along with it with its heavy weight and large height, as then it roared on his face.
