A giant hole, so big that it sucked the very sky, as everything started flying from the ground.
Mark's car looked like a toy as it flew, making him grasp the seat belt with his entire life.
Horrified, the other police cars followed him from behind, as the land itself started tearing.
Trees flew, houses flew, roads flew, everything flew, as it got sucked up inside the giant circle, as the darkness descended in the world.
For how long the darkness remained, no one knew. When suddenly the light appeared in front of everyone, and in they fell.
With a loud thump, Mark fell to the ground, making him grunt, as subconsciously, his hand reached towards his waist, where he had put the gun back when the hole had started to suck him.
It was an instinct, but what made him startled was the knife which was now beside the gun.
He had no idea where the knife had come from.
Not caring about the knife, he stared everywhere with his hawk-like eyes, and when he saw no one, he felt relieved.
Taking deep breaths, he sat on the ground, as finally, he pulled out the knife to look at it.
The knife was sharp, very sharp. From middle, it was empty, designed such that it could pull other knives during fighting.
Holding the knife tightly in his grasp, Mark looked around his surroundings. He was in some kind of forest, which was lush green with all kinds of trees and plants.
The chirping of the birds, singing of the insects, and roars of the monkeys and other animals rang everywhere, making him think that he was in Costa Mountain, which was his destination when he was running away from police.
When suddenly, he heard noise coming from behind him, making him lay down on the ground. As crawling he made his way towards the bush, from where everything could be seen.
There he saw three men and one woman holding different kinds of weapons, as they looked at each other warily.
The first man looked like a thug, and he held the knife horizontally in his right hand, his eyes fierce as he stared at the other three.
The second man was obese. He held a hammer in his hand, but the awkwardness in his face showed how amateur he was in dealing with it.
The third man was wearing glasses, while in his hand he held a sword. The sword looked sharp, and the way he held the sword with both hands made him look like a sword master who knew what he was doing.
The last person was an ordinary-looking woman. She had a bow and arrow in her hand, but instead of pointing it towards others, she had pointed it towards the ground, as if to show that she meant no harm.
But before any of them could say anything, a loud sound startled everyone.
"Welcome, my human friends."
Suddenly, the sound resounded, shocking all five of them as they looked everywhere to see where the sound was coming from.
Subconsciously they all lifted their heads, and saw something which blew their minds off.
There in the sky stood a person, keeping a gentle smile, wearing the butler's clothes, as his eyes looked at them.
Without moving his eyes, he looked, yet everyone who saw him felt as if he was looking especially at them.
"Welcome to the world of destruction. Before you enter the tower of destruction, you will all have to pass a small test. It is called the test of destruction. Cliché, I know, right?"
"Anyway, in this small island, which is ten kilometers in radius, 1000 of you humans are present right now."
"And you all have one day, one single day to make sure that by the end of 24 hours, only one of you remains alive; otherwise, this island will be submerged into the sea, killing each and every one of you."
A deafening silence descended on the island, as the humans heard the flying butler, registering everything that was being said and thinking it was the biggest joke of their lives.
But the giant hole that had pulled them, the weapons which were somehow with them, told them otherwise.
But as if not caring about their thought process, the butler continued, "You can check your stats and gifts by calling the status panel, which will help you fight the other humans."
"There is a map function too, which shows the location of your enemies, so that you can focus on killing and not worry about finding other humans who just want to hide and bypass somehow."
"So start without further ado and let the killing begin."
"In the sky, you will see the timer going on and the number of people alive in the forest when I will snap my finger, and the moment the timer ends, you will end too, if only one person is not remaining in the end, so best of luck."
SNAP!
The sound of finger snapping rang such that it made everyone literally jump in their place, as they saw the red timer counting down from 24:00:00 with each millisecond, while the number 1000 was written in golden words just right below it, contrasting such that it made everyone feel a chill crawl down their spines.
While in Mark's side, stunned, all the four people stood, when suddenly they heard noise coming from the bushes beside the giant tree.
There they saw a boy running towards them, and before they could get out of their stupor, they saw the boy throwing the knife.
The knife flew like a laser as it hit the obese looking man right between his brows. Stunned, he stood looking at everyone, who were looking back at him in horror, and with a loud thump, he fell to the ground, dead.
"Fuckkkkkk….." Cried the thug looking man as he also threw his knife towards Mark, who caught the knife in mid-air as if he had done something like that for years, making the other three look at him in horror.
As Mark threw the knife at the woman, who was holding a bow and arrow, pointing towards him.
Thwack!
The knife hit the woman in her eyes, spraying the blood, while the arrow in her hand automatically got released, flying towards Mark, who caught the arrow, just like the flying knife, and ran towards the sword-holding man, who, seeing him, got so frightened that he pissed his pants.
