Catalina was the first to rise. "Thiago?"
"She's stable," he said, and the relief that moved through the room was immediate. "The bleeding has slowed, her blood count has stabilized, and the baby's heartbeat is still strong. Santiago is with her."
Catalina closed her eyes briefly and pressed a hand against her chest as she whispered a prayer of thanks. Gabriel and Alejandro exchanged relieved looks, while Viola's shoulders finally lowered after hours of sitting rigidly with worry. The room seemed to breathe again, although nobody allowed themselves to become too comfortable.
"Is she awake?" someone asked.
"No," Thiago answered. "She's still asleep. Dr. Elias gave her medication through the IV so she could rest while they continued monitoring her."
No one questioned the decision. After everything Daniella had endured, the fact that she was stable was enough for now.
Before anyone could say more, movement in the corridor outside the waiting suite caught their attention.
