Chapter 1 - 1: The hell?

Somewhere in a province mountain, a small house made out of plywood, tarp, and old rotting roofs, set.

Even before the sun even rise, a college student left this garbage house, that he called his home.

Closing the door of his house he said: "Ma, punta na ako!" (I'm going out now!).

He looked back inside the house, smiled then laugh.

"Haha , who am I kidding." He said, knowing he was talking to no one.

Five years ago, his Mom, whose actually his grandma died.

As the only family member that actually cared about him, he didn't had anyone else to call a family.

Even after her death, he still stayed in this tiny house in this mountain, where it would take at least half an hour just to climb up here.

Although he was going to school, he wore a jogging pants, long sleeve shirt and boots, that would protect him by the itchy grass and bug bites down the mountain.

Along with making sure that his uniform would not be covered by the mud, that he would need to step on the way down.

Five minutes in moving, he felt a cold air running down the mountain, feeling this, he hurried more as the sun was about to rise.

Another ten minutes, he found the cement road up ahead.

Seeing this, he took out a plastic bag in his school bag, ready to strip down to changed.

The moment he stepped into the cement road, his eyes was blinded by unknown source of light, coming from somewhere he didn't know of.

Making him, closed them shut.

"There's ghost in the mountain!" He yelled, covering his eyes with his hands.

After a few seconds, feeling the light that's blinding him gone, as the heat coming from it weaken.

He took out his hand from his face, rub his eyes for a bit and open them.

"The fuck?" He said.

Eyes wide, looking at people around him, wearing clothes he didn't recognize people in his time would wear.

What question him more was how he was being surrounded by people.

He lives in a mountain, so how is he suddenly in the middle of a town, filled with people?

Looking around, he found these people around him murmuring something.

Confused, he looked down.

Only to find himself, in his black boxer, and holding his phone only.

His bag, the plastic bag he took out a seconds ago, and the clothes he was wearing was gone, entirely.

Except for this two, nothing else was with him.

"The fuck!" He cursed again.

Unsure whether this was a dream or not.

In a state of confusion, he stood still in his position, only placing his hand in his head, whether any of this was real.

Who even dream of being in his boxer only in the middle of a town, with nothing else.

What's worse? He didn't understand what the people was saying at all.

Trying to figured out what language it was, whether it was from other countries like; Japan, Korea, and China.

Or from other continents; Europe, African, and North America, yet none was fitting for what the people around him was saying.

Coming back to reality, he found himself still in this town.

Hearing a commotion behind him, he looked back.

Only to see people dress with some kind of authority in their clothing, and seeing this.

He said: "The police?"

Understanding, he was about to get arrested.

Since he didn't understand what was happening at all and couldn't come up with anything to do in this matter, he let himself be arrested.

In a blink of an eye, he was behind bars in the police station of this place.

Looking around the station, he found it..... old.

Nowhere near the modern world one, except for this bars that hold him in this cell; there was nothing in it.

Just two tables, where the guards that took him in sat, a single cabinet, and finally some chair to sat on.

His cell, made out of brick from walls and floor; it was cold and wet if his being honest.

Even so, it was better than his home.

Looking at the two guards that took him, he pondered what will happen now — since he couldn't understand what they were saying.

After a while, one of the six guards inside the station open the cell and bent over to him, smiling and said something.

"Sorry, can't understand you." Shaking his head as he said so, as a way of him saying his words in action.

Seeing this, the guard nod, telling him, he understand his situation, before sighing, and taking his arm.

Seeing this, he panic on what was going happen, worried he's about to get hit or hurt.

Before this worries rise, the guard press the veins in the joint near his arm and hand, before a wave of cold air ran inside his vein.

"Can you understand me now?" The guard asked — letting go of his hand.

"Yes...?" He answered. Confused on how he was able to do so.

"Great, well then. Shall we talk?"

"Sure..."

---

"I see," the guard said.

After a small interview, taking the necessary information first about him.

Placing down a paper in front of him, he read the info in it.

Name: Alex-a Sunren.

Age: 19. Gender: Male.

Profession: None — Unemployed.

Class: Villager. Level: 4.

Skills: None. Spells: None.

Temporary given skill: Language understanding.

Looking at the information he got from this interview, the guard couldn't understand, how it was possible for someone the age of his; to be only at this level.

But looking at Alex, whose eating blissfully of the food given to him, the guard didn't thought much about it.

Instead, he asked; "Anyway, why were you naked in the center of the town?"

"Don't know," Alex answered, raising his shoulders.

"I suddenly got here unexpectedly, without my permission. When I looked down, I was just naked to my underwear." Alex replied, before asking.

"Am I getting fined? If so, that's a problem. I don't have anything on me."

"... Don't worry about that. Except for the public nudity, you didn't really do anything wrong. Beside if we did that, this place would be filled with people, thanks to the amount of prostitute at night."

Hearing that, Alex sigh in relief, before scratching his back, from the itchiness the clothes given to him.

"So..... am I free to leave or not?"

"Yes, but seeing how you don't even understand the local language having to lived in the mountains all your life, we need you to come back here at night." The guard explain.

"This is to ensure your safety, along with communication connection. For now, go to the west side of the town, and enter the dungeon there and earn a bit of money for you to used."

Hearing that, Alex hurried to eat the food given to him.

Savoring the unique taste in it, he couldn't understand was.

After a while, he left the station and moved towards this dungeon he was told about.

On his way there, he looked over the situation of the houses and building of this place he was in.

Some were too old — like build in medieval era, while others were too modern too.

There was even a building three stories high, built entire in concrete, painted in white; with an entire wall only in glass.

Unlike the old looking ones built over in stone, clay bricks, timber, and straw.

"... Old one better." Alex said, feeling more attached to the old looking houses more.

Before he knew it, he was looking at a tiny cave entrance, around a few meters tall, making this tiny hill covered in grass.

With flowers growing around it and children with their parents playing around it.

"Pretty..." He commented.

Not sure if this was the actual entrance of the dungeon, meant to keep monsters inside of it.

Seeing how people dress in armors and carrying weapons were entering, his doubt ease.

As he was about to enter it, he was stopped by a woman dressed in black suit.

"Are you going there with nothing?" She asked — examaing Alex attire.

No armor, weapon, or even a single blade; just in a civilian clothes and nothing else.

"Yes, but only in the first floor. The soldier in the station told me to." Alex replied, showing his forearm tattoo made by the guard.

Seeing the mark of skill in Alex, the woman sighed.

"Another one." She said, before moving away from Alex, letting him in.

"What was that about?" He questioned, moving in.

Going down the stairs, keeping his senses high for any incoming attack or people.

As he did, he entered the first floor.

He looked around, feeling a sense of safety.

The floor was just a small forest, filled with endless grass.

Bugs, butterfly, caterpillar, other tiny insects, and slugs can be seen in his position.

Seeing this he open his mouth then...

[You have entered the dungeon.]

[System will now commence.]

[....error! Error!....]

[You are not from this world!]

[The system will not fully integrate into your existence.]

"What!"
