Mountain-sized azure sea waves swept through the earth and dragged mortals, animals toward the ocean depth. Earth cracked open and swallowed cities, villages, sects one by one. From the cracks, fiery orange lava spewed out, burning the green land and leaving a mark of ash and cinder.
The only ones who managed to escape the chaos were beings with the ability to fly.
A flock of white birds flew through the sky without knowing about the horrors above them.
The high sky was a graveyard. Millions of floating blood-red corpses of mutilated immortals and immortal beasts were frozen in the air like it was a scene straight out from a horror movie. Their body parts and even blood drops were completely frozen in the air like time had stopped.
Cang Yun stood alone above this massacre like a Demonic god.
His entire face was covered by a polished, black, wooden mask symbolising a mythical demon. His robe was entirely crimson except for the black demonic symbol on its back. This symbol was identical to the mask he was wearing. Also, he wore a silver necklace of a serpent around his masculine neck.
Other than that he wielded a twisted wooden staff with a silver globe on his right hand. He also had a brown ordinary pouch glued to his waist belt.
Even though he had a majestic appearance, his mood was quite down at the moment.
This sombre mood worsened even more as he examined the slowly dying world.
"It's a shame really…This world could have existed for a few more hundred years…who could have thought this art had a fault."
Thinking this, his mood worsened.
He was a Rank 10 cultivator who was basically a god.
But even after achieving this much power, there was one thing he couldn't achieve, and that was Eternal life.
He couldn't achieve immortality, but he managed to find a comprehensive set of life extension arts called "Eternity arts".
But these arts had a weakness; after thousands of years of research, Cang Yun finally managed to resolve them and create a Rank 10 art that was devoid of this weakness.
But in the process of activating this, he accidentally destroyed his entire world.

When he realized the world's life force is over, Cang Yun has went on a rampage and killed as many of these ants as he possibly can in the world. He had long killed the Rank 8 and 9 beings, so these ants posed little resistance to his slaughter.
After collecting all the immortal materials, he put his hand inside the ordinary pouch and took out a golden brush.
Then he closed his eyes and made a series of complex hand signs at incredible speed.
"Extremity Transformation Art, split hair.(Rank 8)" His loud voice resounded in the empty space.
Immediately, countless strands of hair flew from his head and started to shine in a milky white light. Then they enlarged and turned into identical copies of Cang Yun who held a golden brush in his hands.
Then all of them flew through the air into different locations in a hundred square kilometer radius before starting to draw in the air using the golden brush.
Countless indescribable words formed in thin air. Strange symbols rippled into existence and countless shapes of various creatures came to life.
After an hour, A formation was fully drawn.
It was fully golden in colour and looked like a squarish golden veil in the night sky. When observed from the ground, its beauty only increased.
Cang Yun deactivated his "Split Hair" art and looked at his birth planet one more time before injecting a massive amount of his Qi into the formation.
"Supreme Formation Art, Seven Heavenly Travel Formation. (Rank 9)"
The formation started glowing intensely in the night sky like a second sun before disappearing along with Cang Yun.
The summer sun was beautiful.
Gentle wind carried the scent of greenery all around the lush forest.
Inside this forest, at an unknown location, stood a small green mound. This place was home to hundreds of living creatures of different races.
Ants went to collect food for their colony. Rabbit mom brought food for her bunnies. Birds sang happily in the bright sunlight.
In here, the weather was great. Food was abundant. Life was bliss.
But suddenly, a bright golden pillar slammed down from the heavens and started burning the beautiful mound.
Ants were vaporised, Rabbit mom cried while nudging her dead bunnies, and birds cried a song of death.
In a couple of minutes, the green, beautiful mound was reduced to a pile of ash and dust.
Through this dust stood one man, Cang Yun.
Crunch
Rabbit family broke to pieces under his foot as he examined the beautiful scenery around himself. "This world appears quite healthy."
After a few seconds, he looked down.
Except for the burned remains of hundreds of animals, there was a golden imprint. This was the Imprint of Seven Heavenly Travel formation. It was tattooed onto the scorched earth like a golden symbol.
'I can't leave it here…Even if the chances are extremely low, there is a chance that one can understand and learn this technique. Hmph, I wasted thousands of years to deduce formation, why should I give it up without getting anything in return?'
"Movement art, float.(Rank 3)" He flew into the air and stopped at a dozen meters above ground.

The explosion engulfed everything in the area. Animals, trees, and even stones melted under its insanely chaotic flames.
When Cang Yun opened his eyes , the only thing that appeared around him was a sea of flames and islands of ashes. He gave himself a happy nod before making some hand signs again to activate another art.
"Great Time Art, minute before.(Rank 6)" A formless barrier spread over the area again. But this time, instead of silencing the entire area, it started to change.
Ashes on the ground floated in the air and formed into lush trees filled with greenery. Flames became translucent and disappeared entirely. Dead animals regained life. Bits of stone flew through the air and fixed the pits in the ground.
After a few seconds, the entire area became the same as it was minutes ago. Even a child wouldn't believe that this place was a wasteland a couple of minutes ago.
After examining the area for a moment, Cang Yun flew high into the air toward the clouds.
After arriving at the cloud layer, he caught a flying bird and drained its life force using a low-level eternity art.
"Hmm…As expected, there is no difference in life force between these animals and the animals from my world, but…I have to make sure this applies to the humans as well."
Cang Yun thought this and used a supreme investigative art to look far into the distance.
Hundreds of thousands kilometers appeared before his vision without any secret but he still found nothing.
'This world is extremely large.' Even after observing for a long time, he found nothing as far as he could see.
'Should I use Rank 10 techniques?' Cang Yun thought about this for a moment before quickly dismissing the idea.
The world he was is now was completely alien to him. The formation that brought him here was a randomised teleportation formation that targets any planet with significant life forms. So he didn't have a clue whether or not there is a Rank 10 existence in this world. And If he used Rank 10 arts from the get go, the expert-If there is one-might be able to sense him.
Thinking this, Cang Yun used another movement art and flew as fast as he could toward north.

After flying for nearly four hundred thousand kilometers he found a small village at the edge of the forest bordering a desert.
Cang Yun immediately landed at the nearby forest and activated one of his Rank 6 investigation arts.
"A Rank 4 beast, one hundred and thirty-two rank 3 men and one rank 2 teenage girl…Others are all mortals."
Cang Yun muttered to himself while examining the distant village with blue shining eyes. From the attire and the way they carried themselves, he could tell that these cultivators were not village residents.
'Why are they here?'
'Did they sense my formation…No, they are too far away.'
This strangeness caused Cang Yun to frown and look below him, in doubt whether to attack these people or find another isolated area. While thinking, he saw a group of ants on a nearby tree root.
Immediately, an amused smile appeared on his face. 'Hmph, who am I even scared of? this bunch of ants. Who do you think I am?'
Cang Yun turned toward the village again but this time a sinister light was evident in his pupils.
