The polished marble floor of the 'A&N Enterprises' lobby reflected the anxiety in Nibir's eyes. He adjusted his tie for the tenth time, trying to calm his racing heart. This was his dream job, but more importantly, it was his company.

Just thinking the name sent a shiver down his spine. They hadn't spoken in five years. Not since that rainy night in college when everything fell apart. Now, Nibir was here, hoping to be hired by the man he once loved more than anything.
"Mr. Nibir? Mr. Akash is ready to see you now," the receptionist announced, breaking his reverie.
Nibir took a deep breath, nodded, and walked towards the elevator leading to the top floor.
As the elevator doors opened, the atmosphere changed. It was quiet, luxurious, and intimidating. He reached the massive mahogany door labeled: CEO - Akash Malik.
He knocked and entered.
Akash was standing by the floor-to-ceiling window, looking out at the city skyline. He was wearing a tailored charcoal suit, looking even more commanding than Nibir remembered.
"Sit down," Akash said, without turning around. His voice was cold, professional, and devoid of the warmth Nibir once knew.
Nibir sat in the chair opposite the desk. His hands were sweating.
Akash turned around, walking slowly toward his desk. When his eyes finally locked with Nibir's, a flicker of something—shock, anger, or perhaps pain—passed through them, but it vanished instantly, replaced by a mask of indifference.
"Nibir," Akash said, sitting down and opening a file. "Let's see if you are actually qualified for this job, or if you're just wasting my time."
The air in the room felt heavy. This was not going to be just another interview.
